1) Looks great to see Syd almost or maybe fully back to great riding! 2) Love how polite you all (especially Macky) is to everyone on the trail - I really wish every trail user would be so kind and polite. 3) I have that same TLD Plaid Green Shirt... 4) The re-planned rides are some times the best rides we never thought we would take.

Time stamp 19:25 HTF did you do that. The probability is astronomical! Like, you would need to chuck a rock from your font tire into your rear rim, while turning, exactly as your valve stem was in line with it's flight. Well done. Next level. This is why EVERY time I remove a tube i take the valve stem.

Yeah, looked like a blast! Van life is great . . . for you younger folks! At 63, climbing onto the top of a van to sleep is not what I call fun. Doable, but I'd find some way to sleep inside. Big Bertha looked awesome though. Great choice as long as it's diesel. Gasoline would cost big bucks to run. Niner has some great people in their fold. You guys and Kyle and April

The young don't what's coming, I train every morning but yesterday I had to climb a 10' ladder about 40 times and this morning I need to stay off of it to let my left knee heal. And this is at 51yrs old. Keep riding friend.

Years ago doing intervals in Oct. and looked up and stopped died. The view was amazing. Stopped the training and took pictures for next 80km. Now I do a "leaf ride" every year. Best ride after first ride of season. Good to see Syd riding harder. Enjoy the colors. Ont. Ca.

I lost count how many times I would have crashed on this course at your speed. It's fun to experience routes like this from someone else's vantage point. If you play it at 0.25 speed, it would be close to my speed.

Ran into Syd at the bottom of SBT that day while Macky was running up to get the van! We had the same idea when the bike park didn’t open. Made it back to the park at 3:50 and ran a few laps before they closed at 5. The Aspens were all time that day! Hoping to make it back out this coming weekend to ride the new Hippo for Halloween!

From @6:10 the footage of the foliage and the tune is worthy of a travelogue; tastefully done 👍🏻. Also, is it me or are there many tall people in the Family Franklin? They didn’t even stand on tiptoes to get the new tent up on the van roof.

I was curious, how do tents like these hold up in snowy and cold conditions?
@sydandmacky
@sydandmacky 3 жыл бұрын
We generally use our sleeping bags in the tent and are reasonably comfortable down to about 25°F. Snow usually slides right off unless it's super sticky, wet snow, in which case it can stick and sometimes pull the tent closed. That used to happen a lot in our old tent because it opened straight up and the hydraulics were getting tired. The new one is a better shape for that and you can lock the hydraulics open so we're hoping that'll keep it from closing from snow. The worst part of snow though is getting out to pee in the middle of the night and getting out in the morning!
