This Wasp Mind-Controls Spiders While Eating Them Alive

Scientists don't know exactly how the larva of the Reclinervellus nielseni wasp mind-controls spiders into building a special web to protect it but they do know that they eat their hosts and steal their webs.

What I find terrifying is that if mind-controlling powers exist in nature, sometime, somehow, humans might learn how to adapt that power for themselves. I find a weapon capable of taking over my mind a lot more frightening than bombs or guns.

While this is partly true, a human's central nervous system is hundreds of times more complicated than a spider's, one factor being that a brain has millions more cells than the entire spider's body does. As a result it will be millions of years (if ever) that something like this could happen (naturally) to a human, though people might accelerate this process. When reading this keep in mind that it was written by a high school student.
