Thank you for sharing, I'm in the process of buying one myself. I think it's the ultimate beater watch. The only thing I wish is that I came with an option for a rubber clasp bracelet instead of a buckle style. Otherwise it's a great watch regardless of condition and situation.

Cool feature when the watch is lying in night the lumen has double = at six o´clock so you know whats upside down of watch in the night without using the led light

Have to say I had two of the GA1000 previous generations and the compasses both went bad. The LCD sections didn't light up with the back light either, not that I think it's a bad watch, just little issues.

@@JustWatchreviews Just got this watch. It is fantastic. Been wearing a Luminox but I hate the lack of durability and I've had to change the battery twice in the last year. Not only that, I originally got the Luminox because of the lume.......way disappointing. This is such a superior time piece. G shocks are notorious for being robust and unfortunately....ugly. but the new analog g shocks are so much more attractive. I really like all the features it includes as well. Been wanting a g shock for a while but just haven't found one that catches my eye. Glad I got it. Thanks for helping make the decision. Great review. After actually having this watch, I found you hit all the points well.

The AM/PM indicator is for the World Time dial(the small at 9´clock position,tells you if its am or pm time in your worldtime zone
