Coil gun as well as rail gun are both Gauss guns or electromagnetic guns. Both utilize the same principle (Gauss principle) but they do it in diffrent ways. Rail gun uses guiding rails that are connected with metal conductor that moves freely and is shot out (either being projectile or pushing projectile) while under current. Coil gun uses sequence of shutting down coils to speed up projectile using electromagnetic field they generate, they need to be shut down when projectile passes through them, otherwise coil would retard projectile after it passes its middle.

My theory for the DOT on the enemies is that coil and rail guns are small projectile penetrating rounds, so possibly its bleed damage on the enemies from a penetrating wound for a few seconds.

@@Oxygenep12in the first DRG game armskore coil gun shots create visible trails that deal disintegrate type damage, and you can add electric type and fire type damage to them with mods and overclocks I think it's safe to say drg's coil gun wasn't designed to be an authentic coil gun first, the primary design goal was probably just to give Gunner some kind of crowd control secondary weapon (his other secondaries were only single target damage weapons at first)

There can be some areas in 3rd map where you can go in and stay in for long time, surrounded by only regenerating bush and red vines. And select weapons that go through terrains 😊 You can try that

you can reroll in the shop when you buy all the upgrades and you get new one to buy.

After stage 2 it would have been worth rerolling the options. Had plenty of gold and luck is very high.

it does have an advantage in being able to shoot over the walls since you mine a good amount of the time. the dot and aoe alone would prob make it the highest dps this run. but shooting through the walls sealed the deal.

Seems like the devs made the coilgun a nuke because it's the last gunner weapon you unlock

Something is clearly off. Weapon Report and Damage Report account for different damage values (WeaponReport appears to be doubling the amount of damage).

Use salvage, free epic upgrade and +1 one level is huge and sometime better than OC. Also you can get lucky and get +3 levels

something i have been curious about this game since i watched a few from several channel this few days, does damaging terrain weapon=mining? if it is, it could be good with the mining have chance to drop things artifacts

I can't finish a dive on hazard 4, on any level, no matter what I try. The little bugs destroy me when there are 5 billion of them

Crazy build, lol. Highest DPS I've seen. I've gotten the M1000 to 34k DPS and the Thunderhead sits near that, but wow..COIL META. I'd love to see a LASTING only build with this gun. Incendiary Grenade, Tactical Leadburster, Seismic Repulsor, and ArmsKore.

pretty sure you want a sludge pump in that build instead of leadburster for the debuff

@@BradAhrens this build is impossible because you have to pick heavy machine gun, bulldog pistol or thunderhead. Armcore does not have lasting tag so it doesn't get any bonuses.

rerolling on the go is crazy nice specially if you have a dmg/nitra artefact BC in 99% of the cases it isnt worth trading the nitra for some specific upgrade, even regular legendaries (excluding +1bem/drone)
