The OC that doubles clipsize increased your damage in the end since the last OC makes you shoot all shots at once. So that OC doubles your damage.

Was looking for this comment. Yeah he misunderstood how he got those damage numbers. He actually accidentally picked the perfect combo of oc to get these ridiculously high damage numbers and thought he chose wrong lol 😂

After looking at other people's videos of them playing different classes in this game, I agree that the Scout's Sharpshooter class is top tier because the point in playing this game is to keep moving and mining without ever having to face the enemies head-on or too closely. Essentially, that's the point of these kind of games these days. As much as you want to kill anything your weapons can get a shot at, you also gotta be able to *survive*, hence the titular subtitle "SURVIVOR".

Honestly, motorized plasma turrets shred very much the same, and they follow you around.

I'd assume by the Thick Boy saying it "complies" all your projectiles into 1 that it adds all 6 rounds into 1 shot to calculate damage, with the 100% mag upgrade it would be all 12 rounds worth of damage. Yeah when mathing it out each of the 12 shots individually would be doing 680 each on floor 5, and on the first floor before a damage upgrade you were doing 585. So taking the mag upgrade is a better call unless the fire DoT somehow is hitting for the same amount that it would be a better pick especially when its going to be firing at about the same speed. Also I'm stocked for Dragon's Dogma 2 next month been waiting awhile for that game.

Great video and a fun run. 1 major thing I feel they need to address is that its a waste of time trying to get meta resources on higher tiers due to time lost, better and more efficient to grind 1st map on level 1 with brain switched off once you have a bit of meta progression

Does this take into account that at higher hazard levels you are guaranteed more meta resources per mining point? For example: on Haz 1 an Enor Pearl point can give you as little as 1 resource, however, on Hazard 5 an Enor Pearl point gives you 5+ guaranteed. I don't think most people realize this. A single Haz 5 floor one farming run can be equal to 5+ Haz 1 floor 1farming runs.

That’s what I call a Lawnmower. Here’s my analysis: Sweep in crescent formation and don’t be so careful with this build. You need to go toward the aliens coz that’s where the experience drops. This is an endgame BiS build. It shines at later difficulties, but is also somewhat mandatory for the greatest trials. If you don’t form this or any equivalent builds, you will have huge disadvantages. If this was a multiplayer game, everyone’s role would change to protect you as much as possible, even giving their dwarven life when necessary. Your hit box is small enough and your dps is high enough. You only need to dodge big foes because their hit box is bigger and watch the pace of your damage output. This is a Glass Cannon build. Use corridors to your advantage coz the aliens don’t engage if they can’t see you digging your way to the parallel opposite direction. People make this mistake way too often. They accidentally go thru the wall only to trigger the large hordes at the other side to the hole they made. DO NOT mine yourself thru except when it’s absolutely necessary. Know the layout of the land. An open field in a bullet heaven game means there are no corners to utilise as a delay tactic. Bullet hell game is the exact opposite. Always remember DC/AC: 🔸Damage 🔸Control 🔸Armor 🔸Comeback 🔹Deal enough damage so nothing more matters. 🔹Control field enough so nothing more matters. 🔹Increase armor enough so nothing more matters. 🔹Come back fast enough so nothing more matters. Fail at the first one and you may still have lessons to learn, but you sure have grown so much. Fail at the last one and you have a lot to learn and options to discover. You can do it! Rock and stone! ⛏️👓💎

At the end you were saying that the damage seemed low for what you were seeing on end screen for the rifle only being 9.7m. I think you missed the 30+m kinetic damage done below that. This was mostly from your trait when you were sending a thicc boi through the groups and deleting entire screens of small bugs.

Yeah, I noticed that later on. Same thing with Dot weapons. I don't think the end screen is entirely accurate with damage sources or it just does a less that optimal way of showing them

you should try the Engineer class first subclass and make plasma turrets with high fire rate (also try to get the -accuracy +fire rate overclock) also insane, sadly that build has slow buildup

i wonder can you get the thunderhead autocannon on that class and match it up with M1000 ? Nigthingale is interessting so far ( with portals/card system it adds a nice twist on it )

I did end up skipping out on Nightinggale, hopefully they get it sorted cause the premise is great. Enshrouded is amazing, one of my favorite games in recent memory.

damage didn't grow much since the thick boy upgrade, ~400 more maybe? edit: I had similar results GK2 and piercing upgrade. But that upgrade comes really rarely.

Damage beyond that needed to kill the target. 100hp target hit with 200 dmg shot takes 100 overkill damage

DK2 is even more imba, you get 2500 crits from every shot and it fires like 7 times/sec

Thick Boy - Does not use attack speed at all, instant shot upon reload. Converts double clip size to double damage. Extra shrapnel syerngy. Can be tricky to clear multiple directions without overkill explosions, unless another weapon is leveled up. Sawn-off - Pretty strong generally, but not great at shrapnel. It brings its own AoE so it's almost a wash. Slower at bosses, extremely dependable wave clear. Probably ok for bosses still. If you have a lot of attack speed, it is valuable here but not Thick Boy. It's probably better to avoid AS and go for Thick Boy, and maybe get by on global AS while leveling to 18. It is hard to reach 18 without some AS anyway. If you are offered epic/legendary AS early on, it can make Sawn Off start looking good, but then you just aren't using sharpshooter shrapnel much (if at all). Plasma carbine with slowing overclock can be pretty awesome at locking down waves, seems better than most base cold weapons, pairs well with M1000 reloads.

Did you just forgo piercing? You have to critically think about the causes and effects for each thing are. Like fire rate increases the number of crits you have because you have a higher probability to getting a crit since more bullets = more chance...then you get damage. Fire rate is also = damage in many ways.

For anyone wondering the thick boy oc is objectively worse than the shotgun one. The reason is that crit is just OP , if you take shotgun OC you get 5 bullets so already 5 times the dps (with 0 % crit) but every bullet is a separate crit instace and since you get increased crit dmg and crit chance its a no-brainer. The only scenario where thcik boy is better is if you have no crit and you picked the clip size OC , if you didnt you ll be shooting 6 bullets into 1 ,so an increase in 5 bullets which is what you fire evey second with the other OC. Also the targeting in this game is not great so going thick boy in hazard 5 is a stiff plan were if you miss fire it , you are dead most likely.

Overclocks make little to no sense some of the time. The +100% mag size is the only way to increase the clip size and the -25% reload that comes with it is easily countered with a level up or two. Comparing that to +15% dmg and +25% reload speed, which is less then what the next two purple level up talents gave you is just insane.

Unless it's changed since i last played fire rate didn't effect the Sniper once you got the 1 bullet perk, so It was all about reload speed

M1000? More like T-1000. You fire the gun and it goes back in time and keeps everything along it's line of fire from being born. Obviously the heavy hitter, to the point that I think this run under-performed from a meta-progression standpoint since the rounds kept getting ended early. That's... whatever, honestly. Sometimes it's just nice to be the scariest thing on the screen by a large margin. Was it the rock star of the run? No, surprisingly. With it's rate of fire being seconds-per-shot and that shot being a laser in-effect, it did fuckall in terms of protecting you from the average bug. It was a very thick laser, but it still only hit things in a straight line with the highest HP monster in range. The rock star weapon here was the not-so-humble freeze grenade, and it basically saved your ass once every 15-20 seconds on average. I may be a little more generous with praise than the freeze effect warrants, but I noticed something. From the view of a player, a long enough freeze effect is as good as killing the bugs. The spawn rates are essentially going to max out the bug population within 10 seconds of a big kill-off no matter how many you kill. Frozen bugs count against the population cap and make minor barriers that the unaffected bugs have to pathfind around. If it did more damage that stacked and applied at the end of the effect, it would absolutely be the strategic GOAT, but even without that a frozen cluster became a blue-white region of the map you could ignore if it was densely packed. That is something worth exploring, tbh. I don't thing freeze grenades will be a perfect wall-building defender when paired with every other weapon and damage effect, but I couldn't tell you which effects they pair with. It definitely works when it gets to be the shield to a sniper weapon. Even the non Big Boy M1000 would work well. It _may_ pair with a turret build, since you can hide behind the frozen bugs and throw out turrets for 3-4 seconds. Then you could flee with a whole bunch of hurt covering your retreat. Any time you can get a wall on one side and a cluster of bugcicles near or against the wall, you can mine away from the problem area with clear air at your back thanks to the turrets you were able to clump up at the head of the tunnel. I am sure there are one or two other really harmonious pairings to be had, but that's all I could come up with off the cuff. I do know that, right now, freeze is slightly superior to acid and fire grenades, even though they both do much more damage and are vital for whittling down the health of tougher high-Danger bugs. Something in the bug pathfinding means that even though acid/fire work as area-denial field controllers, they don't really slow down the buggy advance unless acid or fire is just your _thing_ that round and everything is on fire or melting. Its enough of a difference I could see it getting nerfed in the long run.

Its kinda fun but beware trying to solo, I tried it on difficulty 4 earlier and easily got my ass handed to me, like litrally no chance. I think even in co-op it would be tough. 2 solo if fine, thing is it goes upto something like 9 which i think they call impossible but maybe for mere mortals but I bet someone has or is tryung to

I love this game but I'm just sad they added a hard clock to how much time we can spend on the last level. I was hoping to break my record of a bit over two hours and 1.5 billion damage run. And that was just because I got bored. Yeah I understand the change now. But it does feel like the game is rushing you now.

@@micahleutwyler5806 In the Demo if you could find a corner on the last level, you could eventually become so OP that you basically just killed anything that would get near you. There was no progress bar so all you had to do is not break the dreadnought egg.

FINALLY! AFTER the LAST BOSS SPAWNS you realise you should have been rerolling upgrades instead of hoarding gold and taking default crap!?! AAARGH! So painful to watch... First time viewer here about to slap you through my phone.. ffs reroll and have an epic OP time instead of taking what you’re given. I want to watch another one of your runs, but I don’t know if my heart can take it :P

The m1k doesnt require forward facing? jeeez. Thats the worse thing about many guns, the fact you really just need to run around and kite and mine and can't also face the enemies very well while doing so.
