This Week In Nosara (TWIN#24): Life in Nosara during January 2024 at beach & around town

This Week In Nosara is back with the 24th episode, this time showing life in Nosara in January, 2024. Costa Rica is experiencing record numbers of tourism and there’s more flights in and out of the Nosara airport than I think I’ve ever seen. Waves have been super fun from Christmas through mid January… It’s been a little small past week or so, but we had a pretty amazing run of fun surf & you’ll see some in this video.
There’s mayor elections coming up, and the ADC is pushing hard for Nosara to grow the right way. There was actually a debate at Rancho Tico last weekend, which is awesome. It’s great to see information, flowing, and people to have a chance to speak directly to the candidates in address issues to them.
Lots of music happening lately around the area. Terry and Bosco have been out jamming at Olga’s, Basílico, Marlin Bills and I’ve been playing some too.  Saturdays from 11 AM to 1 PM. I play with friends at Olo Alaia and Tuesday evenings from 6 PM to 9 PM at Alt Fin Co, which is underneath outpost in Guiones across the street from La Ventanita the restaurant by Beach Dog Cafe. Beach Dog Cafe has live music Tuesday evening so get out there if you want to jam.

Foiling at Guiones (4:28) is the pinnacle of kookiness, reckless & endangering at a beach that is already a logjam. Hacer el foil en Guiones (4:28) es el colmo de la estupidez, la imprudencia y el peligro en una playa que ya es un atasco.
