I’d hold off on Dan Snyder revisited until more details about the potential sell/legal matters are known Future topics I’m looking forward to: Jazz LOF, Bickering Bills Other ideas If the Cowboys championship drought continues past 2025/Jerry keeps dragging his feet with putting Jimmy in the Cowboys ROH, we need both a look back at the 90s Cowboys (great teams but there’s *LOTS* of drama surrounding them) as well as the divisional round has been their wall since losing at CAR in Jan 1997 Coaches/QBs past their prime

Luckily with Deebo Samuel there to take some gadget play snaps and the 9ers having other options on offense, CMC won't have to carry an entire offensive workload every single game. If he ends up having more health issues, his workload could be brought down and be used like how Reggie Bush and Darren Sproles were used in New Orleans. Either way he can be a difference maker for the foreseeable future

I like it too, low risk and if Ridley plays like we need him to then the compensatory pick will pay itself off. Only concern I have is that it means that we kinda gave up on this season in terms of making a playoff push, which to be fair nobody expected at the start of the year. Good draft position ahead of us and the likelihood of a true WR1 for next year, it finally feels like we have a direction to go in.

The Hock trade was honestly a good move, because he is going to command 13+ million after next year. He was never a big part of the Ben Johnson offense and he struggles as a blocker. Getting a 2nd this year gives us 5 picks in the first 3 rounds, and a 3rd next year gives brad Holmes more room to negotiate trades. Also, Detroit is now in the top 5 in terms of cap space for next year. I’m honestly excited

As a Bears fan, I don't know how to feel. I'm heartbroken losing Smith, but a deal just was unfortunately just not gonna get done. If he signs with another team for anything less than $19 million a year, I'm going to be livid with the Bears. I like getting Claypool, he has a lot of potential and I feel like getting out of the cesspool of Pittsburgh could only help. However, trading our 2nd for him does sting a bit. Definitely a bit of an overpay, but he's young and has the talent to be a good player. We maybe could have gotten better in the draft, but I think Poles knows that the Bears are only allowed to hit on half of their offensive draft picks and didnt want to take the risk of totally missing on a WR in the early rounds. That being said, depending on how Claypool does, I still want the Bears to draft a receiver and early.

What is classic is typical fan ignorance of the situation. They have too many issues for one player to make them a Super Bowl team. There is zero reason to waste draft assets on a guy who is not going to turn things around by himself. They tried to get someone, but realized the price was way too steep and chose to keep draft assets to be able to make better moves in the offseason.

Tree, I believe somewhere in my history of DMs and podcasts that I've been allowed to speak on where you have been an observer that I have mentioned the NFL making the deadline as much of a spectacle as what the NHL and TSN do in Canada. This is only a matter of time now. As for the Bears, $125 million in cap space means if anyone's getting paid they'd better sharpen their resumes now - and if our pick in the 1st is at a QB level with no other BPA for our needs, there's a very high chance the Bears trade down. There's no FA WR of note coming up and it's pretty obvious the Steelers weren't paying Claypool. He has 1.5 years to prove himself to the Bears if he wants paid. He gets separation and we need that - diva or not. If he divas too hard, we can always have him meet Mr. Butkus...

I'm a big fan of the Ridley trade for Jacksonville. If it works out, it cost Jacksonville a 5th and maximum a 2nd for what could be Lawrence's Stefon Diggs. If it doesn't work out, it cost the Jags two 5th rounders. It's pretty much a free bet, plus they can still pick up a receiver high in the draft too. Maybe the Jags offense might be good next year?

I'd ask you to reconsider your stance on the Ridley trade. Not to be overly biased but you're getting a previously highly productive receiver, a position of big need in JAX, for at most a 2nd and 5th. Plus, with all the conditions protecting Jacksonville, it's a really low risk bet. I think the deal was really creative and well executed for the Jaguars.

Being a jags fan sucks so bad I don’t watch football anymore. I get all my nfl news from this channel and I auto draft the one fantasy league I stay in because they can’t find anyone else. We get a good year once every 10 years so I’m looking forward to 2027.

Major L take on the Lions. TJ is about to hit free agency and he wants top 5 money which the Lions won’t pay

HOW IS THAT AN L? We need a defense more than anything and you think freeing up cap space for free agency is a bad move?

I'm actually amazed that the trade deadline was this chaotic. Offseason free agency this year was already chaotic, I would've thought the trade deadline would be calm to balance it out. I think the one I'm most interested in is Hockenson to the Vikings. We don't hear a lot about the Vikings even though they win a lot of games. Maybe this will give them playoff credibility.

Btw that Ridley trade essentially opened up more cap space for the Falcons. They’re projecting to have over $90MM in cap space this offseason. I expect Fontenot to bring in some big names during the FA this year.

The fact that Ridley bet on the Falcons to beat the Jags goes to show the simulation is glitching.

As a Browns fan those Chubb headlines made me tear my hair out. ESPN needs to use his FIRST name before I have a stroke.

Bears really fleeced the Steelers. They traded a 2nd round pick for a top 3 receiver. I mean, trades don't get better than that
