This video was solely sponsored by the product and company, Ground News! Note; I WAS paid by Ground News to promote their product. In other words, the segment about the website/service is an advertisement which I am being paid to say. Also, I (the account owner of the GeologyHub KZbin channel) may receive a commission or experience a form of financial gain whether direct or indirect if you click on the Ground News link mentioned in today's video & video description. As for a comment on this week's volcano news, I want to note that there is a minor earthquake swarm ongoing at Indonesia's Toba volcano. However, in my opinion (based on current evidence), that swarm is probably either A, tectonic, or B, hydrothermal. So probably not too much to worry about. CORRECTION: Banda Api is currently at an alert level of yellow, and not green.

In your ad script - jade mine in Canada not covered on right-leaning media? How was it covered in other media? Doesn’t seem like much of an issue in comparison to the other stories that affect our lives daily. Come on, CNN isn’t going to cover something like that either.

Could you please translate your videos into German? The quality of your videos is limited because using the KZbin automatic translator makes it more difficult to watch the video with the translation at the same time. Sorry, but I speak Austrian German and the translation is just English, but a big thank you in advance, from me and all German-speaking volcano fans! p.s.: "Scheiß Linguistik! I wead deppat!" must by translate to: "Damn linguistics! I'm losing my mind!" but the lost mind means "silly"...

You do a fair number of videos about the Pacific Northwest of the United States and Canada, and for good reason. That area is a very troubled section of the Pacific Ring of Fire of tectonic plate edges. I would like to see a piece, or several pieces, about the Cascadia subduction zone which in the year 1700 devastated both what is now the Pacific Northwest and the east coast of feudal Japan (and who knows what else in China to the south and shores of the Bering Sea to the north). I believe scientists at the University of Washington have extensively researched and documented the fault and its effects over many earthquake cycles over thousands of years.

Your voice sounds really odd, threw me into the uncanny valley enough to ask if you had an AI train on your vids and then narrate in the style of you? The speed is definitely off, the prosody is close but not quite right, and the crispness is missing. It has that perceptible hyper-reality AU-generated kind of slurring to the words. Even your pinned comment sets off my AIdar. Is this really your channel or has it been hijacked and deep-faked? Dude, are you OK? Or am I high and watching your channel way too much?
