Mine are also really weak on sporting goods, especially the knives. I had to go out of my way a bit and make several stops to find the ones I found.

Been waiting to see some reviews on this. I think it got under shined due to the popularity of axis locks. But pound for pound , This seems like a pretty quality knife to beat around and not worry if you lose it while doing day-to-day tasks. I carry a pocket sharpener in my work bag so touching the edge up a bit every couple of weeks isn’t a big deal to me. We’ve come along way. Considering $15 used to get shit gas station knife with cobra and flames on the handle scales.

RIGHT? I felt like this guy was worth taking a look at. It is definitely getting outshined by the Stormpooper, the axis locks will always outshine everything else.

I'm gonna be looking as soon as the week is up for sure. Bearings would be nice, especially small enough ones to play with bearing swapping other stuff on washers.

I just got my Stormpooper knife! Very stiff at first, but loosening up after just a few minutes of flicking.

That seems to be how they do. A little bit of pivot lube and they really loosen up.

Love my green one too. Was hoping for a flipper and its sharp and solid. After a strop it popped sharp from the factory edge.

I'm definitely forming strong opinions on this one so far.

Tip up and recessed on this one, mine, I had to take a file to the plastic edges where you press the liner, was almost cutting int my thumb. Maybe putting the extra info on the package may up the price of the knife.

Hey KIG happy thanksgiving buddy!!... Hope your carry-week is going OK with this one. I have been reluctant to say this because I know it will go against the grain, but I've found the downside of tip up carry is that if the ball detent retention is not the best, there is a risk of the blade partially deploying in pocket. Yes this can also happen with tip down, but TD has (in theory) a greater likelihood of dropping back down into the scales. This scenario happened to me the other day carrying this knife in pocket. Fortunately it just ended up cutting a thread on a $13 costco pants. I am not sure why I pocket carried this time. I always (!!) inner waistband hip carry for this very safety reason. So I chalk this up to user brain fart error. That being said, it's a GREAT KNIFE... it rides on ball bearings that are kind of "grindy" feeling as it breaks in. I spray it out and re-lube with tri-flow PTFE, 2-3 times and its butter smooth now. Nicely gravity-drop shuts with just a little nudge. Oh a word about the plastic scales... they do have that sharp inside edge which is really yucky, and I did trim away a little plastic to improve liner lock access. Can't wait for the board slayer stream on this one!!

Yeah, tip up in pocket just gets held in place by the pocket hem mostly. I've had ONE tip up on the hip open, that DID suck.
