As an Occupational Therapist, I am SO HAPPY to hear of the HUGE progress that Yvonne has made! God willing as time goes by and trauma to her head subsides, she will have relief from from the noise. I continue to pray for her daily and got people here in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania USA praying who don’t even watch KZbin! I received my Uniek/RS sweatshirt yesterday and LOVE IT! I'm an OT as well. One of the things that stinks about it is going "worst case scenario" in my head. Fortunately, though, that gets countered by the knowledge of the skills that clinicians and support staff in those areas have and the forms of intervention that are potentially available. I have been praying as well in both of my languages (English and New Zealand Māori).

I'm someone who suffered a severe brain injury years ago. I know the difference that support from friends, family and total strangers can make on your journey to recovery. Yes, iFonna is strong, young, not afraid of work, and knows how to persevere with patience, thanks horses! Sit takes time, which sounds wierd to me, like tv is tv you guys- rehearsed and accomplished in in about an hour. Our subconscious believes these quick cured and we get mixed up I think. Mammals - us included take time. 3 month to fix things - which will still be fixing after that , but less noticeable to others, isnnt long in the scheme of things. Meanwhile I’m working so to speak, by doing my bit To keep this lovely site alive. Sorry if I worded anything to stringly for anyone. There isn't a day that goes by without me thinking and praying for Yvonne and her family. This is very encouraging, to hear she is making progress. We LOVE Yvonne, her Family and her channel! As a physical therapist I am SO happy to hear of her progress....many small miracles and hard work (which we all know Yvonne can do) add up to the best possible outcomes. The brain often takes its time in recovery but the therapy helps things along a lot. We will be here when she is ready. She woke up and did recognize her family so is out of danger. Now is her recovery which can take some time to regain everything (brain injury). Dearest Yvonne, I just saw this video and am shocked. I need to tell you it happened to me with brain trauma. 9 days coma , 2 months in hospital on the physio ward. Learned to walk talk and eat in three weeks. I even drooled ! Oh no.... but now I hike, cook and keep going. 2 years has gone by, I healed . You also will cry maybe a few months later or have feelings of being useless. You will also get through that. Remember this. ❤ I can also relate to you if you feel down or whatever . I will always be here to help Sister.

Thrilled to hear of Yvonne’s progress. That was great news. Still a long ways to go but a great start. I have cried several times over her injury even though I have never met Yvonne. I was drawn to the Friesian Horse channel because of the beautiful horses but very quickly I also looked forward to seeing Yvonne. Yvonne’s charm, kindness, and strength were immediately evident. I loved when she walked among those horses in the pasture and how they wanted to be near her especially the foals. Even Senna loved to be near her. Incredible gift that Yvonne has! I will continue to pray for her full recovery and I thank her (and Bauke) for sharing her life with us. God bless to everyone.

Well said! I, too, started watching for the love of the Friesians and I also came to love Yvonne! As a registered nurse I was truly frightened when Bauke told us of her injury. Yvonne is a strong woman with a truly wonderful family to support her in her recovery. And she has all of us who follow her channel loving and supporting her! Thank you Bauke for the update. Yvonne"s move to rehab is amazing after her brain injury. That she is eating on her own and walking is also amazing. She sleeps a lot because her brain is healing. One of my specialties as an RN is neurology/stroke, as well as heart and rehab. I worked 43 years before I retired in hospital. She is a strong woman who will do amazingly well. Love to all of you!

Has she spoken about what happened yet? Did something spook the horse? Was she training the horse in some manner and it didn’t respond? When showing the horses, please show all and how they’ve grown. I’m curious to even see all the babies’ growth. Just the interactions put in the field as they play or graze. I teach kindergarten and every morning watching the horses just relaxed me as I prepared for my class. It was fun to escape into the world of baby horses and beautifully cared for horses. I learned so much about something I love but can’t have right now. Please tell her to do what the doctors and therapists say so we can get her back and we can wait, but her babies can’t. Her job was very physical. I was amazed at how strong she was which should make her recovery faster. Give all hugs from horses, to animals, to those at the stall, all the babies, and Yvonne and yourself! Thank you for you tough job right now. That’s what love does.

She sounds like she is making great progress and I hope and pray that now that she is up and walking that things will continue to improve rapidly. I live with chronic balance and dizziness and I know that our bodies and brains can adjust to things in a different way. The rehab facility will give her all the help she needs to learn to adjust to whatever she needs to and she will find ways of coping with any limitations, but I am hoping for a full recovery for her. So sorry to hear of Yvonne's accident!! I know what it's like to have to soldier on when a spouse is severely injured. The stress is horrific between responsibilities towards kids, elderly parent, animals, and work. It appears you're doing a VERY fine job of caretaking and holding down the fort. Yvonne is beloved by many and we miss her sweet, quirky smile and the love shown to her horses. Take one day at a time and take care of yourself! She is young and strong and WILL recover. Dearest Bauke, I’m delighted to hear that Yvonne is already on a rehabilitation ward, Bauke, that’s excellent news. Please know that I’m keeping you all in my prayers for her “Refuah Sh’Leimah” (a peaceful healing from G-d) every day. Martin and I send all of you our love and support for the recovery Road ahead as we know how long it can be. I trained as a nurse and my cousin sustained a brain injury when my son was 3 months old (he’s now 35 and a Papa himself!) and so she re-learned how to walk when my David was starting to “cruise” around the furniture and it spurred her on. She made a mostly complete recovery. The fact that Yvonne can already walk and has recovered her swallow reflex is hugely encouraging. It could be that some of the noise in her head is because her neck is very slightly misaligned after the fall. I have issues with my own neck and when it misaligns, I get a high pitched whine in the ear on the affected side, so that might be worth discussing with Yvonne’s team. I hope Yvonne enjoyed the photos I posted on Facebook (in the Yvonne’s Herd group) for her of our dogs and all the British army’s horses from when we took our Girl Guides to see “Trooping the Colour” for our Queen’s Jubilee. It is possible that with all the other serious injuries they haven't realised the noise in Yvonne's ears might be partly a neck problem. You are so brave, even with doing a video that you are not used to doing. You will yourself be a star by the time Yvonne is able to do videos again! But for both of you, the real BRAF thing is the hard work every day to get Yvonne well again. Praying for you both, and the family. I love the background antics of the animals - especially how Deuwke (spelling?) and Spidey are already best friends.

Its not a miracle, its Yvonnes amazingly strong will to get better, her determination, strength, resilience and love for her family, friends & horses thats making her better 🤍 ones will to live and get better is 80% of the healing. Yvonnes kicking ass on her own, with the help of the hospital & staff and shes doing a damn good job at it lol her kiddos must be so proud of her. Im a complete stranger half way around the world in Texas and Im so so proud of her. Feels strange to be proud of a stranger but then again Yvonne doesn't feel like a stranger, i think we all feel like we know her and that shes a friend.

Bauke, thank you again for giving us updates! As someone who worked in healthcare with brain injury patients, I’m very encouraged to hear that Yvonne is able to feed herself & walk. Progress is often made over time in these cases, so please stay encouraged! You, Yvonne, your little boys, and family, human & equine, remain in my daily prayers. It is hard managing travel and caring for everyone & everything at home. Through Yvonne’s videos, we’ve met so many of your wonderful family and friends who I know are helping you directly. Personally, I will continue to watch several of Yvonne’s videos daily and offer other support. FYI to the worldwide herd - PayPal works very nicely because it automatically converts dollars to euros & transfers funds to the family immediately. My mother (86 yrs) just had a small stroke 2 days ago. She is already improving and the doctor told us today that she is expected to recover fully but it can take about 3 weeks. I can only imagine the road ahead for Yvonne. I along with thousands of fans (millions?) believe in her! I'm happy to know of the "go fund me" and PayPal as I was wondering how I could contribute though it may be small as I live on Social Security here in the U.S. (Florida as well). Thank you so much for the update! Even though there is a long way to go, Yvonne has already come so far! From waking from a coma to being able to feed herself and read mail and walk short distances! I'm so happy to hear such positive news about Yvonne's health, although she has challenges to face. Yvonne will take all the time she needs to rest and regain her health. Yvonne, I was able to see my friends two young boys, who had been living in Poland for three years. It was such fun to see how the children have grown but hearing A. call me Auntie Noël made my heart sing. I can imagine how much you want to be home, but soon you will be back with your sons, cats, dogs, and ponies, and your sweet husband, Bauke. Thinking of you today.

Thank you so very much for the update. I cannot imagine how difficult it is to take care of the children and to travel back and forth to see Yvonne. Any positive news is wonderful and we cannot show our appreciation and thanks enough for your updates. Yvonne and family are always in our minds, hearts and prayers. If the other staff at the farm and take a video of Uniek, Rising Star and the others it would be most appreciated. We love them almost as much as Yvonne and her family.
