I think your video are special (also before the accident) because they show quietly the life in your farm, they are natural and let us feel like beeing there. Yvonne, with everything you have been through, it is a miracle you are here now, with us still. Take your time!! Do what the doctors tell you to do, and REST!! The damage you took to your brain was severe enough to put you in a coma for a week. You woke up, but you still knew who Bauke was. You still knew you had 2 little boys. The noise in your head will settle down, but that will take time. And you need to take that time to let your body continue to heal itself. Do the therapy. It will help you. The fact that you were so fit from riding and that you were wearing a helmet is what saved your life. That, and Rein finding you so quickly and getting the Emergency Service people there as quickly as he did. Take the time to heal Yvonne. We are not going anywhere. Yvonne, you are so generous to share your life with us including the bad with the good. We came to your channel for the horses but you won our hearts. I know how hard it is to accept that you have to rest and not do all of the activities you once enjoyed but it is the best way to eventually get back to everything you love doing. It was great to see Rien & Tieje having fun and the ponies playing. RS, RJ and Pieter look amazing. They're all so pretty. Greg got a shoutout, too! Those boots were a marvellous gift. We talked about the power of prayer and good wishes from strangers, as I am terrified for her yet want to give her positive outcomes to hang onto. What can I say except to echo what everyone else has already said. I'm so happy to see you and continue to pray for you daily and light candles for you at church every Sunday. You are loved so much Yvonne and I'm so happy that you've made such great progress. Continue to listen to your doctors and take it easy. I loved seeing you with Risey and his buddies and Uniek. I cried when Rein Sr gave you a hug, it was so sweet. Spidey and Dieuwke are so funny together. I think Spidey is so cute and when he's with Dieuwke, he acts more like a dog than a horse. You're coming along so well, Yvonne! Braaf and Goedzo! You may think you are taking it easy, but you and your body are doing a lot of hard work. Healing is tough and takes time. You are being a good partner to your body by pushing it to get stronger, but also resting it to recover. And some good ol' horse therapy is certainly helping your spirit! Please be patient with yourself because there will be days when things aren't happening fast enough to suit you. It's the long-term progress that takes longer to realize. Just know that we're all here with you for the long haul to recovery. Sending you light and love for healing.

I’m just so darned proud of you, Yvonne!!!! I watched someone close to me turn into a shell of themselves after a TBI from a car accident because they totally gave up. Yvonne is so wonderfully compliant with all of her therapies. It’s very easy (and sad) for an injured person to fall into an unhealthy routine of total inactivity, both physical and mental, and the results are chilling. Yvonne worked so hard before her injury to keep her body and mind in fantastic shape. It’s great to see her keep up those healthy habits!

But to help you understand kindness better: never try to pit disabled people against each other.. it shows how deep this unkindness toward people with brain injuries is that I needed to tell you it is not good to insult them. It is bad. Yvonne is very protected now. She is even protected from Andrea because you show videos of activity and not of all the sleeping. But when she goes out into the world, I promise you she will face the same insults. She will be inconvenient to people because she “doesn’t try hard enough” to hear. Unkindness to disabled people is not something to accept. It may seem like a compliment now to use her as a weapon against other disabled people, but this same weapon will hurt her. One of the best things you can do to help Yvonne, and I tell you this as someone with brain injuries starting 10 years ago, is encourage kindness to disabled people and especially to people with brain injuries.

Seeing you out and about is heartwarming. Spidey and the dog are very funny. The brain injury you have does take time to heal. The pressure/injury is obviously greatest in the hearing and vision parts of the brain; which are next to each other. A brain counter coup injury takes time but some residue damage may remain. Rest is your greatest healer ! So lovely to see Rising Star and you together and he seemed happy to see you. Uniek was enjoying seeing you as well.

It's clear to see that your condition has improved over the weeks these clips were filmed. The things that are still causing problems (the noise, your shoulder, the eye and the ears) are relatively small compared to your original state in the coma. But I know from myself that these things are annoying in the long run. I am sure that these inconveniences will also improve. It's about being patient and not giving up.
