I go to Durban beachfront at least once a week. Park at Minitown or Pirates or uShaka. Walk a few kilometers in any direction. Beautiful beach, friendly people. I don't go in the water (ecoli) or more than one street away from the beachfront (muggers paradise).

Great couple of dive sports off the bluff. For the folks saying you cant swim in the water, thats not true I open water swom every week there. TALBOT realeases water test results every week. Its mainly after heavy rains you cant swim.

@@Walk_Africa i am over people taking with no knowlage. I use the beaches from ushaka to the harbour wall weekly for years now and I have not been ill. I do check the tests furst and wont go it there have been heavy rains, but otherwise I go. Have you ever snorkled along the harbour wall? If you swim out to the last third on a clear day you might see Puffer fish, rays, Golie, eels and even an octopus or two!
