I had the exact same lift, the oil leak is because oil is leaking past the piston seals and gets on the wrong side of the piston and is forced out the end seal.

nice did it work well for you? how long ago did you have it parts still around for them I see it was bought back in 1991. this might sound dumb but how do I get the lift to drop down see only one lever and I didn't watch the guy work it was looking at the lift at the time . lol

almost goes to the last safety stop think it might be a lil low on fluid . this will make the jobs so much easier for doing sanding and body work on the lower stuff of cars
