Double Prop Top Water Special . . . was a standard in the wading pouch on Santee growing up . . . along with a “Devil’s Horse”, Bagley’s Bang-O-Lure, Johnson’s “Silver Minnow” (with a jar of pork rinds) and a “Weedless Witch” or two. (For you young’uns, the Weedless Witch looked like a 7” section of a fan belt, notched with a Weedless hook front and back . . . If you used a worm, it was either that or a 9” Mann’s Jelly Worm!) DC, did you see where your favorite lake Darbonne just produced potentially Louisiana's largest crappie? Guy was fishing chartreuse and white chatterbait in Corney Creek in the cypress trees. LWFC stated it was over 5lbs and currently being certified to verify weight, anglers licenses and credentials.

I do know fish go nuts when the eclipse happens !! About 50 something years ago we slayed during the eclipse !! Nip- A - dee dee. Is a top water prop bait and I have 7 left ! I love them. Perch and frog colors are my favorite to throw down here in the Atchafalaya basin here in Louisiana ! On turkey hunting my 7 year old grandson got his first of many Saturday ! Good luck on the catching those brown fish !!
