Oh my, you two…. make my day! Matt with your hanky story and dry heaving, I laughed out loud and replayed it to enjoy it again. The way that y’all feed off each other is hilarious! Grandma isn’t to be left out. She can make me smile and laugh because being a wife and the mother of boys I can relate to her and her humor. I’m even on grandma’s side with the chicken dance, but you do you and keep entertaining the chickens. I watch all of the family but rarely comment but know that y’all bless us so much.

Grandpa, I remember my mom telling me to go get a switch off the lilac tree and bring it to her because she had to discipline me. It certainly didn't kill me as I am 72 and still here! It taught me to respect my elders and I grew up to become a responsible adult that knows the difference between right and wrong. I raised my children the same way and am not sorry I did.

O.M.G. Ralph, That was my mother's favorite scripture. I was born in 51. She got the switches until I was old enough to get them. She also said if I don't beat you the cops will. She was born in 1919. She had a hard life. Her dad used to beat her. All she knew was hard work & being beaten. She grew up in the cotton fields and tobacco fields of Kentucky and Tennessee. Then when she was 10 years old in 1929 the Depression happened which made everything worse. It's a miracle she survived it all. It's a miracle I survived it also. I truly thank God for Jesus! And for the truth that has set me free. All things work together for good to those that love the Lord who are called according to his purpose. 😇 Love and prayers to you and your family! In Jesus Christ's precious and holy name!

Thinking back to when you first got Bella and Oliva and how small they were at the time. They really have grown a lot this past year. If it wasn't for the love and attention that Wilma gave you, I don't think you would have been so eager to get more. Wilma's love broke your heart open to farm animals more than any of the others at that time. If you ever decide to name the animal section (as the birds are in the Poultry Palace) you'll have to call it For the Love of Wilma. I still think of you running along the fence line and racing her, leaving her treats, sitting in the grass and rubbing her tummy while pondering your thoughts in the shade.

If those walnuts are black walnuts, be very careful about the deputy duo from playing with them. I've lost 2 dogs because they swallowed a black walnut. We had no idea until an autopsy was performed. They were beautiful Australion Shepherds. We were heartbroken. Come to find out, They had a squirrel friend that was bringing them into their pen. You both have such a good time feeding together. We never know what will pop out, and then we're in stitches over here. 😂 Much love! ❤😊

I never allow food aggression with my dogs. I always sit and touch them, stick my hand in the bowl, take treats back, until there is no aggression. Food aggression is one of the biggest reasons children get growled at or bitten by dogs I think. Children being small puts them closer to dogs sizes (except LGDs 😀) and I think dogs see them more as competition. I think the reason it’s such an issue for me is because as a child I walked behind my pony when he was eating and he send me flying through the air when he kicked me. Thank the Lord he didn’t have on shoes or he’d have probably really injured me. But it drove home at an early age the fact of how animals could behave around food. I always warned my son about not getting too close to animals when they’re eating until he knew their behaviors.
@jeanettelong-i6j11 ай бұрын
I agree 100% about the food, NO aggression should be tolerated, period. I have to strongly disagree with this positive reinforcement comment--no offense Matt. Riley was told 5 times to get down and think she was already getting down when told good girl. Any misbehavior needs to be addressed immediately with a correction, then praise. These dogs getting all over them is not acceptable either, unless you initiate it...they are invading your personal space. So much to discuss here. Thanks

Thank you Kathy. We can definitely use the prayers. I had the video ready to go out by 6:30. Grandpa had one of those moments (couldn’t think of a title or thumbnail). I’m sure no one else will read this 🤣. He started getting tired and my brain had already checked out. We decided around 7:30 to just put a picture on and throw any old title on and then I saw K&S was premiering at 8:00 notification. Well, now we couldn’t put ours out ahead of the kids or while theirs was playing so we were in trouble. lol. We watched their premiere and got even more tired 🥱. When it was over I sent him on to bed and don’t even remember what I put with the video but made a thumbnail and called it a night. The next morning Mr., I’m cheery at 3:00 a.m. was laughing and said I’ve got to start coming up with those before you finish editing. I didn’t disagree. We got a good laugh about it, but we’ve done the same thing since. 🤣 🤣 Send me in to feed the pigs, I volunteer to clean out the coop but please don’t ask me to create a thumbnail or title. That’s where I draw the line. Do you need a job? I think you would be great at it!!

In our home growing up mom made us get our own switches. But I'm thankful for everytime I got spanked it most definitely made me a better person.

Those are two beautiful dogs! They remind me of Mojo on Hidden Heights Farm! Musical food dishes in the pig pen! And they were so vocal today! Hilarious! Needed that laugh! My Daddy worked in a meat processing plant so our dogs got some good cuts of beef as treats plus fresh bone meal! Yep they were spoiled!

Good morning Grandpa and Matt. I didn’t think that I could love you anymore then you show just how much you love your chickens and others. Grandpa 2 (Matt) what a great parent you’re becoming. Just go back a few months folks and watch our G2!😊

Matt it's the way he was raised... My DH (Darling Husband) was raised to carry a bandana when he has a cold or the sniffles... But his Daddy was born and raised in WV and worked for a short time in a coal mine... You can't carry hankies in a coal mine... So they carried bandanas ❤ thank y'all for sharing your lives with us ❤❤❤ and GOD BLESS LeeAnn (sorry if I spelled it wrong) with 4 guys... I was blessed with 2 and some times that was taxing! ❤ But I wouldn't trade it for anything!❤❤❤ And Yes Ralph I'm counting you too 🤣🤣🤣
