If you’re having trouble bleeding off airspeed in your autorotations, you need to try this method: the sideways flare autorotation. In this DCS World video I’ll show you how to easily bleed off your airspeed while cushioning your landing. Just make sure you don’t have any sideways momentum to prevent dynamic rollovers.
You can also use your anti torque pedals to rotate your helicopter into the remaining direction of travel to minimize the risk of dynamic rollover.

I was a little hesitant to upload this video because my last video was also about exploring the autorotation capabilities of the Apache and because 99% of my videos are now about autorotations. Oh well.
Autorotations are one of the most satisfying things to practice in DCS World if you ask me. It is all about control with no room for error. And can quickly see the fruits of the progress you're making.
After receiving some tips on how to improve my autorotations I also stumbled upon a video of a person doing sideways autorotations in real life. I thought I'd give it a try to see if how hard they are. Here is one of my sideways flare autorotation runs.
