I hope this catches on. In my opinion, WL TV is, to this day, the most relatable wine content the internet has ever seen. This is giving me the feels.

I remember when I was working my first professional job back in 04/05...sitting in my office each day, watching Wine Library TV....just trying to get the first comment of the day on each video....emailing back and forth with Gary about wines I had discovered through him. I remember a few super Tuscans in there....just a few days back, actually, I came across an old email where we were discussing the value wines out of Chile. Good times.

Just opened the 2017 Il Marroneto for date night and it does not disappoint! Decanted for approx 5 hrs before serving Highly recommend!

Awesome show. I'm a wine writer and would love your take on wine scores. You use them a lot here but it seems like the younger generations don't like them at all. How important/influential are wine scores?

Lots of rain in Tuscany in 2018 if I recall. 2018 super tuscans are still bomb

yes, brunello is in a perfect shape at the moment. there are no bad wines, a lot of outstanding ones, a handful are only solid, but by the way, a 89 points wine can taste wonderful if you like the kind of flavour!

I started learning about wine in 2007 or so (to impress my then-gf's father!), and Gary/WLTV was my primary wine educator for years. I met him many times at the shop in Springfield and he always had time to chat on random stuff. Brandon is also great! I hope this rekindles Gary's passion for accessible wine videos! My 500+ bottle cellar has him to blame.

THANKYOU for truly educational wine videos! You are definitely a cut above. I hear that the 2019 Brunello vintage is a blockbuster; can't wait to hear your view on it.

Great video. ll Marroneto 2006 ($30/bottle) and 2007 ($30/bottle) both amazing bottles from ok to average vintages - 2010 Il Marroneto was ridiculous and a terrific vintage - still only $55/bottle. It is amazing wine but probably out of reach for me now at those prices...

So glad you are back in the Thunder Saddle. Question: Have English wines made any impression in the American market yet? We are drinking a lot more of them at home and they have really improved over the past 10 years

Dropped a clip as a ref in my latest review my friend. FYI audio level is a bit low. Should be a couple dB higher. Sounds like it's normalized to -12 vs -6 dB. QPR is super important.

Bought an Opus One 2019 for my youngest daughter born in 2019. Hope it will be good stuff in 20-30 years. Have you ever tried an Opus One?
@robrx10 ай бұрын
Consider drinking that Opus long before 20 years. Its luscious fruit will be long gone . Consider instead getting for her some vintage port from that year. They will be drinking wonderfully in 20 to 30 years.
