since we discovered Prosecco years ago it is our go-to. we have plenty of it on hand and never save it for something special because everyday is special enough for a bottle of Prosecco!

Another great episode!! 🍷📺 Love the education for people b/c that's the best part, especially in the name game of sparkling wines! Such great sparklers out there that are not Champagne, although I LOVE Champagne with the right food. I tend to find prosecco more food versatile but that may be because of it's price point, so I try more different Prosecco. Also, YES .... 100% YES! Drink bubbles with every course AND on it's own! Drink bubbles to celebrate 🍾🎉 AND just on a Tuesday evening with pizza night! ♥ Great episode keep sharing some of the nerdy wine stuff in there! 🍷🌳 #OMG One request Gary, could you bring back the QOTD?

Loved the Timorasso video you put out. Would love to see more on under the radar grape types like Malagouzia, Hondarrabi Zuri, Assyrtiko, Nerello Mascalese. Big big fan!

Really happy to see you back in this space, Gary! Question: At what temperature do you recommend enjoying sparkling wine? My wife prefers her whites, roses, and sparklers at refrigerator temperature, but I know we're certainly missing out on aromatics and complexity there. I also know the best answer is to drink what you want at the temperature you want. However, for optimum "appreciation" - I suppose - what do you suggest? On a related note, if I keep my fridge at 36, how long should I pull the champagne before opening and enjoying to let it get to the preferred temp? Thanks!

Great content! I love sparkling wine; for me, the best alternative to Champagne is Cava (having tasted some Prosecco, it is too fruity on the pallet, and I can get higher-end Cava at a good price). I have higher-end access in my country, and I 100% agree that blind tasting shows our bias toward branding.

I share your sentiments! I'd put Champagne (notably good grower Champagnes) well ahead of any other sparkling wine on average, but the next most interesting category for me has clearly been Cava, especially over the last ~10 years or so.

I started watching Gary vee 14-15 years ago wine library. I was 24 years old trying to get into wine. At that Gary was almost finished with the channel. But I spent the following 3 years watching over 800 episodes learning about wine. And seeing this degenerate jets fan with sweat bands drinking wine was just the common denominator I needed to become a loyal wine fan of his. Being a kid from LA Mexican back ground I had nobody to show me wine. Thank you Gary because of you I was able to start my wine journey.

I tend to align quite closely with Gary's palate and recommendations, but on this topic I disagree. I appreciate Prosecco for what it is and have enjoyed some of the more premium versions, but I would hardly ever place those above the many grower Champagnes that are available at the same (or better) price points as premium Prosecco. I have not seen any sparkling wine category consistently outperform grower Champagnes. I appreciate there are always exceptions.

You keep asking the guy to your left questions but you have zero interest in what he actually has to say so you constantly interrupt him while he is talking. You are more worry to feel like the smarter guy in the room and asking the opinions of the 3 or 4 people that don’t know anything about wine. Kind of annoying to be honest but I know you are a constant talker and that’s what you do.
