Scallops are really abundant in isla gigantes. It cost just 1peso a piece. What I like about your videos is that your interacting with the locals especially with the kids. Your not the type that will give them a "stop bugging me and im busy attitude". 😁😁😁 Anyways, keep that up!!!👍👍👍

I love my country, The Philippines but I appreciate and love my country more after I moved to the US. I appreciate how happy people we are even just on simple things. How laid back we are. How appreciative we are. How genuinely friendly we are. I realize all that until I moved here in the US. Just totally different culture even if we were colonized by Americans before.
@TheJammer737 жыл бұрын
Believe even me a filipino couldn't explore my own country and how amazing my country is thru your videos. I would say you are the lucky ones among the foreigner that explored our amazing country. Maybe it is better to keep the Philippines a secret for you to enjoy without being exploited and make it a back packers paradise. I like to follow other vloggers that explore our country because that is the only way I can appreciate the beauty of my country. Maybe when I retire here in America I can find an untamed places there that I can spend my senile life !

Your videos are great. I too have been fortunate to have gotten to do much touring with locals,even in Mindanao, of which there are also many beautiful places. Your interaction with the locals is great. If you show some of the places where you can stay,along with the rates and dollar equivalent ,you would help tourism to the Philippines even better. The smaller ,less visited places are the greatest bargain and super hospitable.

Carrying things of the visitors like u is a filipino way of showing care and friendship to u. i used to do that everytime my german friends come to visit me. it's a way also of welcoming u and make u comfortable in thier midst.

About that -- What I don't understand about this is why are the attitudes towards foreigners between these countries so different when all of them had been colonized in the past? How come that the outcome is so different when all of us had similar pasts? Why is this country more welcoming than the other? Why is this country less welcoming than the other? I find it so weird!

Dream Cardigan my dad studied the area when I was a kid (he's an anthropologist) and we lived in the Philippines for a while. I think the reason is because Pinoys are very open and easily adapt to things. I think it depends on how they are approached but I find Pinoys very welcoming and smile a lot! Unlike other Asian countries, Filipinos are open to foreign influence especially Americans. The culture is a smorgasbord of east and west 😊

It is common for Filipinos to be friendly specially in those time of my grandparent and ancestor. When I was a little boy, I remember that I'm always by my side of my grandmother and whenever we go even in farthest area in our province amazing all of them knew each other. I remember every household that we visit we always have "a gift or pasalubong" they gave up some crop, fruits etc.. I also remember that time they always have a "bayanihan" where everyone come to help.. People before are most friendly, most God Fearing More Caring. I miss that time when the cellphone, tablet, computer are not around and most of the people are always on the field.

Trivia: When the Spaniards first came to the island, the locals led them to a cave where the skeletal remains of giants were found hence the name Gigantes. (Forgot if it was Norte or Sur). One restaurant there exhibits an artifact from the cave.

hey finn. since you're in part of panay i would like to recommend the guimaras island. it is the home of the sweetest mangoes. the beaches are stunning like alubijod cove beach resort, reyans beach resort etc. and the island hopping will lead you to caves and turtle island and you can also visit the seafdec where giants grouper is being raised and protected. there is also falls hidden within that island that only the people knows. personally the best asset of guimaras is their mangoes and beaches.

Wow such a beautiful island. The last time i go to beach is 2 years ago at Calatagan Batanggas its so closest to Cavite we're i lived. The water is so salty but there's a big sandbar need to rent boat to take you in the middle of the sea, when its low tide Calatagan beach has too many Starfish the sized of your palm. The water is so cold and so clear but I didnt enjoy much bec the saltiness of the water you cant possibly swim and not gettin a taste of the water hahaha but even dippin in the water without goggles makes your eyes sores probably bec of the saltiness but that just haunch hehe

Interesting that there are trees growing in the salt water. Is the water level rising? I always like to reflect upon the fact that 12,000 years ago, during the height of the ice age, the level of the ocean was about 300 feet lower than now. Obviously, the Philipines covered a much larger area back then and the weather was a bit cooler.
