While doing the Whitetail Great One Grind LIVE on stream last night, playing The Hunter Call of the Wild, I accidentally shot a Whitetail DOE and almost immediately, my grind started to FALL APART! Respawns stopped showing up at zones! There was absolutely NOTHING to shoot! In today's video, we look at what to do IF you shoot a doe, and go through lots of TIPS to make your Whitetail Great One Grind MORE EFFICIENT!

Watched this video this morning and was worried because I had shot some females in the past. Ran my map found one more zone then ended up shooting my 5 diamonds that I had on the map. An hour later during my map rotation it happened, my first Great One ever!! These videos legitimately helped so much, thank you!!

But I thought you don't get a great one until you shoot the diamonds on your map? But like I said I'm still learning and I'm not sure but I've saw two videos on this and neither specifically said but that is what I thought they meant. I know I didn't answer your question exactly but maybe we can help each other. If I find anything else about it I'll tell you.

I don't know what's happening with my game too... But this week, as I was playing, the game started to act really weird, I had like three fallow deer upside down on a bridge, then I went on the bridge and there was only one on it, but only the head was "popping out" of the rocks... It never happened to me before a lag like that ... I turned off the Xbox twice, didn't do anything, played the next evening and everything was fine 😂😅 Still my favorite game tho, even if I was mad that night haha thanks for all the great advices lady!!!

I think this same thing happened to me with Moose on revontuli, I 3,900 on Moose and I have been losing zones left and right without them showing up to another spot on the map.

Still on my fallow grind haven't gotten a GO fallow yet..... Im on PS4 an have had a few accidents with does lol especially if I use the 44 rifle cause bullet time is longer with running shots,,,, this explains a lot ty, I'll probably go back to the pellet rifle or shoot 1 per zone

So what do you do if when you find a zone for the first time and there’s only one max level buck in it or a level off max. Obviously nothing will ever respawn there because there’s only one animal. Am I suppose to leave the potential diamond buck for the sake of the grind and having all my zones. Or do I kill the diamond and then have to rerun the map.

On the tahr grind if you have a zone with only 2 male tahr +females or a zone with only males if i whoot the zone to only 1 male/no males will that zone still respawn males?

So if you should not shoot zones down to one animal, what do you do with zones that start with only one or two animals. I hunt for moose currently and I see a lot of zones with only one level 3 moose and sometimes a female aswell. Do you shoot these males to progress in herd management? Or will it ruin the grind the same way shooting females does?

I have just currently got my first two diamonds one I believe is a mallard duck and that was a second one. All I remember is one was one of the duck species and then one was a small bird like a pheasant or something like that 1:42

I very RARELY get diamonds. I have 6 total. But I get rare fur types left and right. I got THREE piebalds today in just under an hour. I'm okay with not getting many diamonds because I love the rares. Thanks for the videos. The tips really help.

How do I set up to do two grinds with only 16 tents? I’m currently doing a red deer grind but I’d like to get a whitetail grind set up on another map. Not sure where to start for a second grind. Finished my roe deer grind, finally got that diamond. Took 100 kills lol. Im probably 1k kills into my croc super rare grind, and that is proving very difficult. 6 diamonds, 3 gold rares so far. The HM for crocs is pretty nits, had to shoot down male crocs to sub 700 top estimates to start spawning diamonds. And i only have 10 shooters lol.

I’ve had herds of just does or a herd with one buck and all does I have found that if you shoot the buck and a doe or if there’s no bucks shoot 2 does it will bring back the backs. So if no bucks are spawning or not as many are slot in a doe when lacking a buck . Haven’t had it not work yet.

As long as the hunting pressure is there so without putting hunting pressure somewhere else which lightens your current hunting pressure. It’s about how much purple is there.

Im curious: When do you know you have "all" your zones. I'm not big on just grinding i prefer a more natural hunt play style. I know how to run a map and pick my zones dring drink time, I know where and when to spot the different animals, but theres always a possibility of missing one or 2 that arrive late or early and move on. I tend to run north to south, then south to north, central to north and central to south, all dring the drink times. Plus if killing doe's creates new zones, does that mean in the early faze of getting on a map, all those does killed to build up rifel, xp and cash have created a tone of zones, and we'd be better off never shooting does, even early game. Lots of questions I know. Oh, and Spawn Me A Great One 😉

All you can do is search til you can’t find anymore and then see if you get consistent respawns. Not sure if killing females early on makes a difference

Another great video, thanks. So, your game crashed and you had to exit the game and come back in. Try playing this game on a PS5! Crashing is almost a daily occurrence for us and it’s still plagued with bugs. When they released the golden retriever/labrador I started my game and it took me to my tent for the fallow grind in Te Awarowa, when I went to leave the tent to start hunting I was stuck, I could only exit by fast travel. Then when I went to get my dog to track a hunt I found that they had changed the dog settings, so “track” is now at 12 o clock instead of 6 o clock like before. Duck hunting: I don’t know if this happens on all platforms but most of the time I shoot a duck it vanishes before I can pick it up? And as for animals freezing on the spot, I dread to think how many times this has happened? I shot a load of fallow deer doe’s because they had froze and I was short of cash but it doesn’t seem to have ruined the zone? Anyway, good luck with your grind. SPAWN ME A GREAT ONE! No seriously, I still haven’t got a great one yet, spawn me one! 😁

Over 200 kills in and accidentally shot a doe on a follow up shot in my fallow grind. Instantly closed the whole app I was so mad.

Fallows are totally different than whitetail (I think) they are way more forgiving. Took me around 1,200 kills to get a fallow deer great one and I definitely shot a few does in there and didn't pick ever single deer up either. Just keep shooting the bigger ones let the diamonds stack up then shoot them down. That's my tip ALSO DO NOT SHOOT the exterior single male deer on the coast line. That's how you'll get a great one!

OMG I shot a cow Moose who was attacking me in a tri-pod while I was Goose Hunting trying to level up my lab and my shotgun score, so I shot her with a 12 G slug. Ever since then my Moose grind went bonkers!

PLEASE HELP! I shot a female red deer during my grind and next time I get on my Xbox it needs to synchronize data from the cloud. So I did that. Logged in and every one of my drink zones had changed completely. Anyone know anything about this?

It could have been worse. I was probably 600-700 kills into a red deer grind on parque Fernando. But I had some beauties now the highest in my grind is like a 6. I got 4s where I had 8s on the good lakes. Should I kill those 4s so I can replace that good spot with 9s eventually?

Shooting females does not help with diamonds unless you're grinding a species with female diamonds like grey fox, gemsbok and chamois

Scarecrow shot females and he’s zones where completely fine it was he’s first g1 tho it was a long time ago.
