This use case is where CMOS sensors suck with rolling shutter, lots of vertical lines passing by fast really screams for a global shutter. Also wiring a basic RC brushless motor to a lipo isn't hard for cheap and would allow way more flexibility
@ScottBell4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. I don't mind the rolling shutter myself but would be fun to try with a global shutter for sure. I've debating putting more into this rig to make it battery powered but think I'll likely invest in a premade solution when I'm ready to step up to the next level.

Hey Scott - can the Mars 300 Pro transmit to a RX of a LIVE TV input at the same time?
@ScottBell2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching, I'm not sure I fully understand your question. Happy to help but give me a bit more detail of what you are trying to do.
@Spinfast2 жыл бұрын
@@ScottBell We are also planning to use the Mars for a cable cam. Only difference to your setup ist, that we need to have it stream to our monitor AND to a TV Wagon for Live coverage.
@ScottBell2 жыл бұрын
@@Spinfast Ah I see. You could probably do this though I don't think the quality is high enough to do this reliably without occasional signal drop/poor footage quality. It's fine for monitoring but not picture perfect for viewing. I would look at a higher end model from Hollyland if you are doing live coverage.

Great. How to connect the remote control to the gimbal ??? This is also possible with a dji rs 2? Can you give details about it?
@ScottBell3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Christophe. Check my channel, I posted a video about how to connect it to the Ronin S. To connect to the RS2 you'll need to purchase the focus wheel that came with the Ronin S.

Hi Scott, can you tell me where you got the remote controller from and if it works with a ronin sc2 ?
@ScottBell Жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks for watching. Check the playlist on my channel all about this cable cam set up. Details on the controller are there. It should with with the sc2 but you'll need the focus controller from the Ronin s to connect it.

@ScottBell3 жыл бұрын
Cheers, thanks for watching. You could motorize it for sure. I'm happy with the gravity powered rig for now. I'll prob just buy a ready built system if I go motorized.

This is insane, I've never thought to use a rc transmitter to control the ronin. Is that tethered separately through the s-bus on the focus wheel?
@ScottBell4 жыл бұрын
It's soooo much fun. Yup, connected via the sbus on the focus wheel. I plan to do a quick breakdown video here before long. There are bits and bobs of information about it on the internet, but nothing super comprehensive so requires a bit of tinkering.

Bro, I have a motorized cable cam and I can't for the life of me get my ronin s balanced right on it. It just swings on it. How are you doing it?
@ScottBell4 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks for watching. Nothing special for balancing. I balance on the ground first, run the auto calibrate feature and then flip it to inverted mode and mount it on the cable. Never had any issues. Send me a vid on IG of what you are experiencing and I can give you my thoughts.
@webcamsdelpueblomexico64343 жыл бұрын
My only a biggest issue. All cable cam sistems are a long straight shot.there is no left,right shots.just one long straight video shot.a big down for myself.
@ScottBell3 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks for watching. I'm not sure if I totally understand what you mean but generally the idea with a cable cam shot is that it follows the action for an extended period of time with the subject in the middle of the frame. The camera is moving left and right to ensure that is happening. Cable shots aren't for everyone, but I love them!
@webcamsdelpueblomexico64343 жыл бұрын
@@ScottBell hi scott.what I meant is the fact,you can only go straight can't go to the left or right.I could use a cable cam that would go on circles.on the daily basis.tnx for your time.
