I think the reason many people, myself included, gravitate toward gaming as a hobby is because it is easier to access, and in many ways cheaper, than buying and painting Warhammer miniatures or Go-kart racing.

Absolutely I agree with that. Easier and more instantly gratifying

There are 3 things video games can strip away from people: - Mental Health: Some games can drive people nuts giving their structures and difficulty - Money: Especially when you're buying the Ultimate Edition of a Ubisoft game for 115$ - Relationships: Their addictive nature can make your life a living hell and isolate you from the others (friends, classmates, girlfriend, etc.) Just make sure to do what you have to do to get rid of your gaming addiction.

Would you argue that being obsessed with winning and this leading to playing more video games to get that win is more detrimental than a person who is quick to rage at a video game and then rage quits and this results in them playing less video games?

Achievement and competition motivations tend to lead to more addiction issues but rage and toxicity can have a major detrimental effect on your life also especially because it speaks to a lack of self emotional regulation

In most cases i'm an all or nothing type of person too. I can't moderate my usage of anything, and I have tried. It's knowing that I can take any restrictions I place on myself off at anytime and go back to doing it the old way. So it's either do it full ball or don't do it at all.

I don't see the point on playing video games during midnight until 5 am when I know I'll perform bad at it without enough sleep.

Hi pam, It's been a while I visited this channel. Unfortunately I played league for the first time about a month ago. I can't stop playing it. I already played about 100 hours and I started to neglect stuff about life. Can you make a comprehensive video about how to quit LoL?
@Wojtinho2 ай бұрын
Step 0: uninstall it.

Thank you for this video as always, knowing the effects of gaming is eye-opening and it's so true - when I'm engrossed in games I stop caring about whatever is around me so I'm glad this is like a reminder on why I want to quit gaming

I don't play video games that much anymore. The only exception I play video games is with my nephews and nieces such as minecraft and fortnite. We have fun together as a family or with friends 😊; "Not" have fun playing alone in your room by yourself. I realize that. 😮

I wish I was able to find a new interest, but instead I'm behaviorally addicted to my computer often wasting the entire day watching KZbin videos / shorts or playing video games because I can't find the motivation to go outside even in the summer. I'm nearing the end of my 20's and I'm also starting to doubt if I'll ever become a functioning happy and purposeful adult. I'm trying to replace this addiction with going to the gym, but I've been failing at it for 3+ years by now and I just don't know how to move past this impossible wall

Gotta be ruthless with your computer use. It’ll take your whole life from you ❌❌
