Don't agree on weapons for simple reasons, devs already don't limit themselves with weapons when creating a character. They are using whatever suits characters in their model (Camelia - vines, Roccia - suitcase), so it's doesn't matter what basic weapon type they using. Bringing more just limits us players

This is just it, look at Zhezhi and Jiyan, they barely or don't at all use their regular weapon while fighting, if Kuro wants a character to use a different weapon they just the weapon they want while ignoring the base weapon for the most part. Imagine if kuro created a spear weapon type when Jiyan came out, that would mean 1 less weapon that could be shared for Jinshi/lumi/Calculator. Each new weapon type they add means one more type of weapons we can share between characters which is a -f2p outcome So clearly the correct answer for the question is "NO"

If your problem is not Ethan's problem, than its not a problem. Wallet is a solution and he has no problem using it every banner. When I have to save my resources for 3 patches to get new character in Genshin its predatory and unacceptable, making new limited banner weapon mandatory in WuWa is ok. In this game you can wait one more month to pull for a new character. Nuuuutral take. No double standards.

Yeah, but I still need more creativity, yes they don't limit themselves but they're still limited like what if they want a bow user? use a rectifier or a gun? some basic weapons needs a harmony and complimentary like the spear + broadblade, vine + sword, sword + scythe. But how about new types like intrumental weapons? are they all going to the rectifier weapon type?

For weapons, they have already been creative with weapons animations for characters. But the problem with adding new weapon types is that it would be the company's hands-on how many weapons are released with the new basic type and how often characters are released with the new type. This is also hammered with them mostly using the hoyo model, where sig weapons are limited time with their matching characters banners and have the same pity as characters. Even if they release a new standard 5* weapon that takes time to obtain especially if they release a new weapon type every 1-2 patches. The downside of keeping the base weapon type is that most unique weapons would stay unique to those specific characters for the most part.

PGR just adds all 6* weapons to weapon gacha and you select your rate up weapon, and with high chance, I believe 80%, you get 5* version of target weapon.

Like someone else mentioned, if those categories were a problem, changing em into something more vague, like - heavy weapon, light weapon, ranged, short, magic/utility weapon would solve the problem. More weapon types is limiting our options. And forces more FOMO and more money spend. If I've skipped someones weapon and had to wait a year for a rerun coz only alternative is a standard banner weapon that feels like a 4 star with better main stats, that would be anti-QoL change.

I dont get why you think this survey is "wild" or a "red flag." To be honest, I'm for it for the new weapons, but not right now. They could implement new weapons later in the future. The weapon must be added once in awhile and not continuously. It also must not have an ability that lock for specific character.

I want new weapon types, nothing changes regardless of if they're adding new weapon types in fact it solves the issue of having 2, 3 or even more characters that all use the same weapon and all work really well with each other so you'll likely put them in the same team, afterall how exactly will you share the weapon between 3 different characters in the same team? (Not to mention how annoying it would be to constantly switch between the weapons once 6, 7, 8 or more characters use it) Unless you're willing to pull for 2 or more copies of the same weapon... but then what would be the difference between that and pulling for new weapon types? Not to mention that the specic weapon you want to get copies of might not even be on banner when you want it to 4 stars weapons are shit now except a few that can't be used on every character so weither or not the new 4 stars weapons for the new weapon types are good doesn't really change the current situation (good new 4 stars weapons for the new weapon types will be better of course but even if they're bad it doesn't change anything in regards to the current situation) It'll just be fun new weapon types for the players to enjoy :) I asked for Scythes, lances, bow and arrow, machine gun, droids, polearm, dual daggers, staffs, umbrellas
