Very much agree with the similarities between the Trumper and Egoiste. The old edc of Baldessarini rocks too. Prefer it over the concentree, despite being less syrupy-smooth.

Great video as always! Funny thing, I just purchased YSL M7 Oud Absolu with the black dipped bottle (I think it’s a 2012 bottle). The guy who I bought it from sent me a small decant of the original M7 as well and… WOW! I loved the opening of the original M7 and it last a lot longer than the M7 Oud Absolu. I loved both but the OG is amazing!

Quite a lineup there. What a year for perfumery. For some reason Avignon didn’t click with me, I would add J Casanova and Mon Numero 10 to that incense lineup as two of the best designer incenses in its place. Opinions! Cheers Ram

Dia woman is gotta be my fav woman’s perfume actually on a woman! I got a few bottles for my GF and she loves it too! It’s vintagey in style for sure

I really like Trumper Sandalwood. They call it a cologne but it easily surpasses many EDPs these days in performance/longevity. Eucris by Trumper is another fantastic fragrance which is somewhat gothic and dark. The original edt came out in 1912 but they did and EDP version recently which is much more potent. It is a heavy almost pre-IFRA oak moss bomb. Thanks for the video.

Fabulous line up and 2002 history lesson , I was 40 years old ,hitting the old man zone right there, still hitting the old man zone right now goddam it hahaha 😅. 2002 was a weird year. Big year for blockbuster, summer type movies (saw spiderman, minority report, 8 mile, and others in theater). Fragrance wise it’s all about M7, Fierce, Avignon, Rochas Man Intense, and Creed Himalaya. Dia Man was never something that appealed to me. 2002 might be the last year where designers dominate over niche? That shift happens 2003-2006 in my mind. You need a sample of New Haarlem before your 2003 list. You might hate it but it’s a seminal scent. I’ll shoot you a note and figure out how to get you one (I have a 2005 batch).
