Can’t wait to watch this. I peaked at the list and fast forward to Aramis 900 ( going to watch the whole thing though) and to give some info that I heard from a few trusted sources. Some say Aramis 900 can actually be better in the more Recent bottles. From what I hear it’s actually about the same but there are some notes that tend to go stale or just fade with that one so it’s stronger a lot of the time if you get newer ones . One of the rare cases where it may be beneficial to get a new one. But devin , which I’m wearing today is better in vintage form. I only have the new . I’m going to track down a vintage. Anyway I can’t 100% confirm this but a few people I trust have said it. Now I’m going to eat dinner and enjoy the video. Keep ‘‘em coming Rams!

Diorella and Eau Sauvage definitely smell similar and I love them both. I was a teen in the 70s and saved my pennies to buy these fabulous scents, the likes of which we'll never see again--- I own both the Chanel 19 and Private Collection in vintage and owned them and remember when they came out. I don't think you're crazy at all. I'm smelling it in my mind while you're talking about it. They are stunning, though Chanel 19 definitely is a Chanel. I also love Chanel Cristalle of that Era One of the others I love from that era is Clinique Aromatics Elixir. Great, great era!

The comparison of Grey Flannel to Chanel to me is all about money and a certain class and in that way, they were similar . In my opinion, you put the nail on the head!

Great vid. I have an older (probably 90's) but not the same as Ramsey's bottle of Equipage and I love it. That said, most vintage fragrance reviewers outside of Chris at Scent Land don't dig it that much.. No one says it's "bad", but there is something that doesn't work for a lot of people. Heavy on the spiciness, and it doesn't smell like anything else I have. Some big hitters at the top of the list. A great time for perfumery.

I enjoyed this 70's episode. I've been revisiting, researching Paco Rabanne PH, and repurchased the first edition. Well, very touching about your father, and it being his signature. My Dad passed just 2 years ago from covid. He was 100 years old. Your bottle is the second edition. I almost bought your version spray, but it was lot more $. There were 6 versions of Paco Rabanne PH. The first 3-4 were the best, with the last 2 garbage... Seeing your vintage mini bottles, I thought I will send you my 15 ml spray of original Equipage. The sprayer is partially clogged. Good luck in maybe getting it working, but the juice comes out. Equipage and Paco Rabanne are my 2 favorite vintages. I think Equipage may have been inspiration for Paco Rabanne...

As a watergate baby (c. 1973) this was especially fun to watch! These old fragrances are so rich and complex I feel like it will take many many wears/years to unpack them. I love how they evoke feelings and memories of the past. My first impression of Jules (I know it’s an80’s creation) was the platonic ideal of “daddy.” It’s like a too strong hug that hurts a little bit is reassuring. The patchouli in GG felt like entering a sealed dusty tomb and smelling the earth, so dank and dirty. Can’t wait for the next half of the 70’s.

Wow, I looked at your playlist and found your extensive reviews of fragrances in decades. I just ordered an old vintage Zino. If you Google Zino fragrantica. There is a great article on the history of Zino . It was based on the structure of Shalimar, then masculinize with more woods and lavender top. A really good version of Equipage is my signature now; the third edition. It's the bottle type as your newer Bel Ami bottle type. It is not so expensive and close to original. We chatted about Kniz Ten. I think I understand why you may be waiting to find vintage. I have the new and I like the dry-down. But the opening with the oil, mechanic shop smell is challenging. I'm 🤔 king the vintage would not have that..? You are a true resource. I saw Russian Adam include your reviews on his Areej le Dore sight. I see Ribes8 follows you, as I think other serious fragrance hobbiest do. Sebastian on Smelling great, and Steven on Redolescence are great resources as well. Thank you for your reviews. ZMP! Nice. It was actually my first ever Creed decant and it impressed me at the time. And Bogart a ruddy brilliant cheapie. Absolutely will never get tired of that fragrance. Shame Denim isn't readily available in Canada anymore too. We need more of that DNA in modern perfume!

btw my Peau dSpania bottle got some air in it after I decanted bout 5 mills to my mom, and wore it a few times. Its been sitting in my wine cooler for about a month and half, and I sprayed it just now. The civet and the leather came out waaaay more then when I first got it. its so good man. you got to get your nose on a new bottle and do a comparison. Not sure if you remember but I think when I first got it, it smelled way more medicinal and floral.Its definitely changed.

Wore the leather oud by Floris to bed..first couple hours were even better than those Xerjoff ouds I tested recently .... but the late dry down when I woke up in the morning was pretty bad... smelled like synthetic soup... they need to use better materials

Ah Creed! I once had lots of their fragrances but now only my back-up bottle of Fleurissimo, which, of course, is a female fragrance , but it is still smelling good although it has been around a long time. I also have a bottle of Huile Parfumeree and also a bottle of Imperial Millesime in 🎉a gold bottle. But I have had these bottles since I was very young and never dreamed someone would even know about them at this point of time.
