If the subtitles & dubbing was individual choices so you can choose which you want...on every video, that would be great! but currently half the time subtitles aren't available at all or only available in the language they are speaking making them completely pointless

Currently I don't use voices in my content, I do use a lot of Ai though. I do want all of this to get better, partly because I use texts a lot so it would be helpful once it does. When I used chat gpt to communicate with people that did not speak English it seemed to work well with no complaints. I'm looking forward to the improvements because in the end it can and will help creators get more exposure and fans get a whole new wealth of entertainment and information. Ai is getting perfected and is getting more and more phenomenal tool for so many things. I also however don't want it forced on everybody as the only option for things. That goes too far for me.

Nope. What's wrong with subtitles?? It can't be just a Dutch thing, can it? I won't ever use any dub, auto or otherwise, brrrr ... Besides keeping the authentic voices, you keep the language specific sayings, jargon, puns - all of it. Works wonders for your language skills: you listen, and (eventually only occasionally and almost subconsciously) check the subtitles for the translation. With dubbing, you lose all those wonderful extras 😢 (Reminds me: I should start watching some French films again, I let my French slide a little the last couple of years 😅)

Hello @TubeBuddy, I have an important question. I noticed that you don't use hashtags in the description of your short videos or in their titles. I thought that hashtags help you to find the right viewers. Has that changed? Why don't you use hashtags in your short videos?

I was one of the 1st channels to get Auto Dubbing. I already manually translate my titles and descriptions. My fans from India said that they turn back in English from Hindi because the translation are off. The Captions are more on point!

Quick question, I don't have auto-dubbing yet, but if you upload with auto-dubbing enabled, and it turns out bad like you showed can you then disable the auto-dubbing on that specific video after it is uploaded?

They can't even roll out a basic function of this feature right let alone translating nuance, context, metaphors, rhymes, swear words, taboo or individual KZbinrs' catchphrases and mannerisms. They are pushing this because AI is a trendy thing now, where in reality they should be working on making sure that auto-captions are 99% accurate (assuming they are using them to dub on the fly)

Thank you for this video. But I still need your advice.. I’ve been growing a motivational KZbin Shorts channel for about a month now, posting videos daily, u know motivational and inspirational stories. Many of my Shorts perform well statistically (70-75% reach and 80-90% average watch duration), but the views seem to get stuck at around 12-15k. After that, the stats drop slightly, and the promotion stops, idk why😢 I’ve been doing this for a month, constantly trying different approaches and experimenting.What do you think could be the main reason for this? For example, some youtuber might be spreading some kind words with their community, but German or French viewers may hear it as "the bagels with the browser extension" instead of, "I hope this gets better, we can all agree [insert] is very bad." or some random BS like that.
