One quick comment: you don't need to crush the entire zombie to kill it, just the upper half. This means it might be easier to get nine sticky pistons pushing down from above to crush them. That should simplify the wiring on the crusher without changing the overall structure much.

The small creature at the end is a stoneling from the Quark mod. I'm not sure about this particular modpack, but in the mod's current version, stonelings can drop a Heart of Diamond. This allows you to craft a pickarang, which is like a cross between a pickaxe and a boomerang. It lets you break and retrieve blocks from a distance. Super useful for caving.

Making the zombies fall into a 21+ block pit with hoppers at the bottom is a good way to collect drops. Use the trap doors to get them to fall into the pit!

Or you can build trapdoors at the top and then two or more blocks below again, on top of the lower trapdoors put lava and dig two or more blocks under the trapdoors. Then just add hoppers at the bottom and basicly you are done. Maybe it is not that fast, but at least it is more satisfying to look at...

General rule of thumb when it comes to suffocating in Minecraft: if you can see through a block, it won’t kill you. Extended pistons, leaves, doors and trapdoors, and glass (I think) are all examples of blocks that won’t cause you to suffocate in a wall. I don’t know if this works for *every* see-through block, but it’s a good way to make a quick judgement about traps.

You know, there were a couple of mod packs I played years ago that had a mod that really boosted the monster's intelligence. They could detect you through several layers of solid blocks, they could dig, they could place blocks to platform up to you, they had enough brains to avoid hazards and walking off trapdoors... I wonder how Kevin would handle them?

you can place a layer of signs beneath the lava. this makes the zombies burn but still drop the rotten flesh as it doesnt reach the lava above. you can place the signs on hoppers to automatically collect the rotten flesh or run a hopper minecart railway system underneath the layer of blocks the signs are placed on.

A tip for the crusher, a stone pressure plate will only be activated by creatures. Wooden ones react to creatures and items, so if rotten flesh falls on it it won't reset.

Hey Kevin, instead of using lava, use entity cramming. Unless your mod changes the number, more than 24 zombies in one block space will make them suffocate and drop their rotten flesh. Mobs think they can walk across trap doors so all you need is a hopper at the bottom of a 1x1 hole with a trap door at the top. They will themselves and no lava needed

The merchant selling bones is a great find. Remember you needed bonemeal to make the other type of electric fences. Also try using a mace as a weapon. It does extra damage to undead. You can two-shot zombies with a diamond mace.

Honestly, building the fridge from the Furniture Mod wouldn't even be a useless waste of iron, since using the freezer part of the fridge and a cooling pack, you can freeze rotten flesh into normal flesh (2 items per cooling pack) without the hunger effect and that you can then cook, which could be useful for food since... well you know, there's a quite a lot of walking rotten flesh outside your home. Edit: you can also use ice which freezes 10 items per block and packed ice for 15 items per block. So it even seems pretty broken since you can craft a cooling pack, use it to freeze water in the freezer which gives you ice, and then you can freeze water again using this ice to get even more ice so you have infinite fuel for your freezer.

I think it would be hilarious to see some kind of trap with honey blocks. They make it so if something is standing on them, it can't jump to a higher block. However starting a bee farm to harvest honey in a zombie apocalypse could be quite the tall order

Multiple suggestions here: For the crusher, you can use a mix of sticky pistons and one pressure plate to trap zombies in there. All you need is four sticky pistons, a pressure plate, and one block to put above the pressure plate to stick people in there. In addition, you can use two regular pistons to push the block back and forth to reset without using sticky pistons. Another solution would be to use signs and hoppers to prevent the lava from destroying the flesh and automating the transport to a chest. You could have a pit of lava with signs underneath and a drop to kill the zombies by fall damage. This solution would likely be a lot easier and more reliable, as the lava tick damage seems to kill them anyways, and this prevents you from having to do anything. Finally, I think the best recommendation I can give aside from those bits is that you can build "landmine" traps by having four doors and a wooden pressure plate so when a zombie walks in, they get locked behind the doors. This might not work depending on if the zombies can destroy wooden doors, but it should work with iron doors regardless. You can also use this to trap villagers assuming you use iron doors.

Here’s a fun note for you Kevin! If you haven’t noticed, unlike your lava pit, the zombies willingly walk over your draw bridge without being pushed. Yea because you have two trapdoors on each side of the hole. So if you put more traps doors on your side around the pit and open them, they’ll all die faster. You could also make an easier pit of death for rotten flesh this way

Hey Kevin, it it makes gathering rotten flesh any easier you can place a sign down and it will carry lava on top of it, allowing the top half of zombies to burn. Since their loot drops on their first block, it will drop the loot below the lava kill chamber and into an awaiting hopper which will lead into a chest for easy collection

Kevin you can make crushing chamber without slime. Just put gravel or sand on pistons, make space above 2 blocks high and you can push zombies into celling. Gravel/sand should fall after cutting signal to pistons. I may be wrong but its worth a try.

This series reminds me of what I used to do when I was younger play MCPE. Using world edit I would make a top layer of sand on the world with a pillar of sand going to the top. Updating the sand would cause it too fall making a very interesting dynamic for trying to play the game. Doesn't add anything to the video, just unlocked an old memory

Actually, if the pit's deep enough, they'll just die when they fall (about 22 blocks deep), and if you make the floor of the pit hoppers that feed into a chest ( or series of chests), then you have automatic collection after death.

the trapdoors over the moat only work if you have them on both sides zombies that way they think they can walk across to you. otherwise they're just standing by the edge until they push eachother in which is slower
