The scene was beautiful, lit under the moon and star filled night... The greatest thing I've ever seen, the village elder talked about this bridge and it's beauty though he's never been there himself. By then I was 11 and began my decent the next day... That was when disaster struck, the lightning came so fast... I lied there for 3 days until I got back up again, and kept going. The decent was awful and longer than the ascent... But at last... I'm 19 now and have made it to the other side, I understand that the village is not the same as when I left it... A lifetime has passed... The people here are wiser and older, like me. I then realized that this journey is not about the reward of the pond at the end, but of the strengthening of the soul, sure you can spend years perfecting your strength and will, but the soul requires a different care... So here I am at my last breath staring at this pond... The thing that drove me my entire life. But when I got here I realized that it wasn't the pond that drove me here, it wasn't my father... My mother... or even the village elder... It was me... I never stopped, I never turned back, I pushed through thick and thin beating my way through with every step, I got hit by lightning for beaks sake! And now I'm here... I... Can... Now... Die... In... Peace...............................Mama.......................Papa............"
