It never fails to amaze me just how many people claim that Radeon drivers are bad when they never considered that they had to remove the old drivers.

well, sadly its not always the drivers, though this helps TONS. AMD has a harder time with older hardware, something that helps a TON is HDMI 2.1 cables, many have issues with cables under and UEFI vs BIOS so yeah drivers are HUGE, its not everything.

Video Card - manufacturer and exact model number 5. Power supply - manufacturer and exact model number 6. Monitor - manufacturer and exact model number Redundant I know, but many people forget to enter manufacturer and exact model number 7. Do you have ALL of the PCIE connections plugged in, and not daisy chained or pigtailed, each coming directly from the power supply? 8. Are you running through HDMI, DP, DVI, VGA, any adapters? 9. Is UEFI or Legacy Setup in the BIOS? 10. What slots do you have your RAM installed in? 11.Do you have CSM Enabled or Disabled in the BIOS 12. #1 I show you how to connect the card here in this video, and I show you to use individual cables, not daisy chained cables, I recommend you get a new power supply, this can cause issues, like random shutting down and others. When a driver asks you to restart, finish it and restart your computer, when it restarts, move to the next driver. with an SSD from an old laptop, I HIGHLY recommend a clean install of Windows, never ever ever take a Windows drive from one machine to another, your performance will be cut in half and you will have tons of driver issues or worse. This might be a dumb question but I am getting a 4080 super soon and hate the adapter that comes with it and want the lian li strimmer cables. My psu does not have the 12pin connecter so is the 12 pin to 3 8 pin Lian li one good? I looked it up and it says the 4080 super uses a 16 pin.

Worked fine on a 6950 but not a 7900XT, odd, a few questions, answer them all so I can help 1. What is the manufacturer and model number of your power supply. 2. What is the manufacturer and model number of your video card, be VERY specific, 7900 XT is not a model number. 3. What is the manufacturer and model number of your motherboard, and BIOS version you are on now 4. What is the manufacturer and model number of your monitor? 5. If you are using HDMI, is it 2.1 spec or lower, if DP, it is 2.1 or lower?

@@ThisBytesForYou no hate brother your tutorial helped me atleast I had just upgraded to a 4070 super a week ago and had one pce-i daisy chained into the adapter so I fixed that thanks to this video I just saw the card being placed with the pc upright and was just worried about new people as thats my biggest fear is the PCB cracking from the heavy card and rma just saying nope
