So European! I’ve stayed in upwards of 35 AirBnB’s in the US, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain, and have to say that yours are so thoughtfully done! The places that have nothing but furniture are so hard to stay in. Second roll of toilet paper, sugar, coffee, tea, milk, and a packet of cookies go such a long way to helping me feel that I don’t have to run to the grocery store the day I arrive! I knew you would switch the couches as soon as you showed the second place! Love how your family pulls together to reach your goal, and support each other. Your parents did a great job 😊 Congrats on a very successful reno and best wishes for the success of your business!

I love how you thrift things and paint them etc. I always look at these redecorating shows where they spend a fortune on top of the line everything and think really why. Look what you did and only spent a fraction of what they spend. Keep up the good work. I like them all I know you didn't put the upstairs apartment on here but I love the studio one.

Everything came out great! I love all thd wood details in the house. Maybe add an electric skillet in case someone wants to make breakfast or a toaster. Some hot cocoa packets.

Oh yes! I actually forgot to mention, but my brother cut more slats for that bed because it definitely needed them - and we have a mattress protector on all of the beds (just didn’t film putting them on) 💗

Lovely seeing all of you work so cohesively together to accomplish your targeted goals. No sure if someone else has mentioned this but the top of the “breakfast buffet” in the dining room is wood, making it high risk for water damage. Guests may not notice or care to clean up drips and spills. Many guest houses I have stayed in had glass or plexiglass cut to fit the top. Others used oilcloth or other waterproof fabric to cover the top. The issue with any kind of fabric for your guests is that it is a buffet, meaning there are functioning spaces underneath that require easy accessing. Glass or plexiglass may cost a bit, especially if you have the edges bevelled, but either will provide long-term protection. I wish your mother great success with her new spaces. Completely agree. That crocheted looking runner looked totally out of place and would end up full of crumbs and coffee stains. Would also try to run that very dark cord from the cooler along the baseboard if possible as your eye goes right to it. Maybe use a cord cover?

I don't have a favorite unit but I adore the little kitchenette you created with that sideboard and coffee bar/snack set up. I also love the large faux orchid. That is exactly what I look for when thrifting. Real orchids are hard to keep, and super expensive so when I can find a fake one at a discount, I'm grabbing it. Beautiful job, you guys...and I know people are going to love staying in these vintage style Airbnbs. I know I would.

It’s amazing how you were able to make 3 separate living areas out of the house and both A&B turned out so well - can’t wait to see the upstairs apartment next week!!! Although I like both I think my favorite is B only because it has a full kitchen and by cooking you can save a lot of money when you’re traveling but I also think A is very functional because there are so many people that would rather eat out when away from home and being able to do a simple breakfast there, as well as having the small refrigerator for drinks, etc., is so handy and a great asset.

Amanda, I am completely touched by the labor of love that went into this makeover in a week no less. Your Mom's smile speaks 1000 words on how happy she was to have you and your Brother help her with the transformation of each apt. Thrift stores, 2nd hand options and flipping can make such a difference on a dime. I was so excited to see you found that gorgeous light brown velvet bubbled ottoman by threshold for $24.99. It's been in my Target online cart hoping it goes on sale from $100. You found a steal. I love both apt's for different reasons. The artwork added so much to the spaces. I would add a trash can and hang potholders from DT on the micriwave cart in the kitchenette in apt A and a trash can in the kitchen in apt B. Add durable outside rugs in front of each apt to encourage shoe cleaning before entering and perhaps the plastic rectangular shoe catch all sold at Target for $5 near the front entrance. Paper towels, air freshener and an iron for both apartments. Great job 🫶🏼👍🏼🙌🏼🛏🛋🪞🏡
