A co-op Carcassonne is certainly appealing. Carcassonne is one of the games that got me into board gaming, and I think that a co-op version would make it even more appealing to new gamers.

Just bought Boop. for my wife who loves abstract games. Demoed it at PAX and knew we needed it. It sold out there but I found one at Barnes and Noble book store online. Also, just played Banner Festival and was really surprised at how much we all liked it! Very unexpected. Played at 4, and I feel like that’s the ideal player count.

You should try out the competitive Mists over Carcassonne variant Matthew (using Mists as an expansion) - it’s an excellent variant & totally different but just as fun as the coop version. It has some great little decisions in it, and it’s really cut-throat. I loved the coop game too, and I agree that it was one of the best of the year. Number 5 on my list :)

We were very surprised by banner festival. Have only played 2 and 3 players. We're looking forward to trying larger player counts.
