Not a 2K game but who could forget back in the 2000s in Day of Reckoning and WrestleMania 19 games where if you hit the referee enough times they'll attack you for a few minutes. There's even a secret cutscene of the referee winning a match if he pins ya, and his win animation is a heel one

My 2K14 save data got corrupted so I always have a bad memory of it. Pre update 2K15 was crazy. Especially pumphandle fallaway slam over the top rope

3:33 I miss that submission system so much. Felt very rewarding when you won via submission bc it wasn't cheesy like it is now.

@Jazz-rw5oi actually it is. Yukes and THQ pretty much had the game completely done. Then THQ went out of business and 2k came in and only put their name on it and publish it. So at its core it's the last THQ game as the 2k influence didn't come until 2k15.

2K14 and 2K19 . Were just the best 2K Games. Or you could enjoy the last gen versions of 2K .

When I think of showcase mode, I think of 2k15 and 2k16. I could never say those games are bad just for how awesome those showcases are.

I remember in 2K19 you could the use the elimination chamber in universe mode at any time also they had the 7 man chamber which cool and I wish they could bring that back also hopefully in the future 2K let's us do tag Chamber matches

For me best secret in 2K16 was how you could play the elimination chamber match in any arena. I remember doing a woman's one in the NXT arena. And I remember doing it in exhibition mode. God was that game not only great but underrated. Now only if irl NXT could use the chamber

i loved the streak mode in 2k14 i beat taker with every he faced at wrestlemania that was in the game it was a tough challenge

I always wondered why I could never trigger the interference in steel cage matches. I only did it one time & every other time I tried to do it, the superstars music would play & they never came out. So the superstar would just be seating on the cage doing nothing, not being able to control them & I would have to quit the match. Ruined one of my universe mode matches because of it. lol

It's the version with all the updates done. To play it unpatched you have to own the disc of 2K19 and reject installing the patches.

I hope that WWE 2K25 doesn’t lean into anything remotely close to originals/MK. How in the blue hell in 2024 do we not have realistic selling with short & long term body damage & exhausted animations, but we get levitating which could be on many default wrestlers for the most useless mode showcase (just future endeavor yourself) & career mode which both just have requirements that have nothing to do with a match & just take away any interest in replaying these modes. Hit a light combo in what I will continue to call this game, a strike base fighting game that they try to squeeze wrestling & have no time for an annual game to give very marginal amounts of wrestling into, but they have daily updates to My Cash Cow. We deserve wrestling, not more mortal kombat & MT, imho.
