I always like to see metal incorporated in clothing and shoes, the carabiner looks a bit bulky but the logo shape is pretty neat and fits a techwear vibe quite well.

Here in Australia, Gorpcore is what most older Asians wear in winter. Most of them shop in Macpac or Kathmandu (NZ outdoor brands like Patagonia). Warmth for buck, they're unbeatable.

@M winter doesn't get cold enough to give you frostbite in most places here, but cold enough to give you hypothermia if you don't wear a jacket. And it does snow in some area. It also hail here. My car was damaged by tennis ball sized hail a few years back.

What is premium about these compared to a regular AF1? The leather materials look the same compared to a regular AF1. A Gore-tex version with a Fontanka React midsole and a trail Luxe outsole would be the best version of these. Hope they muted the swoosh logo to the color of the shoe to make the carabiner pop out. Could there be a better way to attach the carabiner? Extra 2 carabiners and orange shoelace tips would have justified the extra 50 dollars from a regular AF1. A functional shoe compared to the latest ACRNYM Blazers

I will never wear Nike but I'm glad for this shoe existing. I could see people making custom colors for the carabiners for different kinds of fits, I'm imagining this shoe with a coral red/salmon carabiner and mint green laces and it looks awesome in my head I hope ppl get creative

Yeah I like them generally - I find that my heel slips in them a bit and there are other more comfortable shoes out there but they're super easy to pair with other things and you don't need to worry too much about them since they're not as expensive as other 'flagship' shoes. Kinda similar to Vans Old Skools in that regard
