Thank you SO much for uploading increasing amounts of archive footage of Diana as it feels increasingly as if she’s been somewhat forgotten by many, including a new generation of mainstream journalists keen to have a relationship with those now on the throne. During the Coronation, especially within the mass of coverage and documentaries sanctioned by the Palace, Diana seemed to be barely referenced. I even saw some younger people on social media say they didn’t understand why William and Harry called their mother “Camilla”, instead of “mum” or “mummy”. It genuinely shocked me, the apparent success of those who caused Diana pain in life having somewhat sanitised the history of the new King.

I love the video of Diana in those moments when she stood so tall and strode to the piano and gave a beautiful, almost flawless, rendition of a favourite piece of classical music. I was 14 when that was filmed and I remember feeling proud of Diana as I knew she had faced media commentaries that claimed she was “thick”, “dumb” etc. I still miss her to this day.

You do realise, dont you, that Diana, at this date, is 27, has been Princess for 7 years, and is still drooping, ssgging, eye-rolling, looking bored, shrugging, and playing childish little games to get attention, instead of simply acting in a gracious and attentive manner.. ? Think of your expectations of professionalism. Now think of a 27 year old teacher, doctor, business manager, OK? This is a member of the Royal Family who is 27 and still trying to kid you she is a cutesy little girl. Just notice that when she meets a team of suntanned young men in budgie-smugglers, she shows real enthusiasm. It was the ONLY TIME on the entire trip that she looked enthusiastic. If you want to see how a queen acts, find the recording that Elizabeth made on her 21st birthday.

@@liamb8644 , Liam, she is not your queen and was NEVER queenlike. She always focussed her attention on people who were going to flatter her. Children, people in wheelchairs, people in hospital beds, people with flowers to give her, the attendant who opened the car door, the security officer who walked behind her, and the very handsome man who was doing an interview in a soft, gentle coaxing voice as if SHE was just a little girl.... instead of a msture woman. If anyone who was a head of state, an academic, a monarch, or a senior in their job or even a competent tradesman tried to engage Diana in a conversation, she freaked out, and literally ran away. Moreocver, she only engaged with people on the most superficial level. The problem was that she had no real intetests to converse about. She did, eventually, learn a little about some of the medical conditions that affected people, like Hiv Aids. But the moment that she was confronted with something she did NOT k ow about , she made comments that were truly dumb and naive. Note, i am not talking about her at 20, but as a mature woman of 36, when she went for a couple of days to Angola to have a photo shoot as part of the anti land mines campaign You might imagine that Diana actually CAMPAIGNED to stop land mines. She didnt. The campaigners were a group from the US who set up in London with the Red Cross. They were eventially awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Diana was Royal Patron of the Red Cross so they asked her to go to Africa, knowing photos of Diana would get PUBLICITY. Diana did it. And got herself HUGE punlicity, because people believed she was seriously involved. She wasnt. And it is photo shoots like that which made people around the world believe xhe did more and wzx kindrt yhan the rest of ghe Royal family. You probanly do not KNOW thst for about 45. Years, Princess Anne travelled regularly to Africa to places affectrd by war, by drought and disease, who see her workers from Save the Children Fund. There was NO PUBLICITY, she just drove around. Or dropped in by military helicopter with her Aides and two security. Why is Anne not the queen of your heart? Not besutiful. No little girl cuteness. No lies. No self-promotion. No charm. No publicity. Just FIFTY YEARS OF HARD WORK.

Australia really is the lucky country, as an American I would live to visit some day.

They both needed to wear hats every day. It was a real pity that the organisers did not arrange for the Prince and Princess to visit the Aboriginal Tent Embassy at Mrs Macquaries chair. It was really well organised, and they would have had a warm welcome..

It was not the slow movement of the Rachmaninov's concerto - it was the third movement.
