This looks like a blast. My advice would be to reach the crown of the wave, so on your way down you aren’t reaching the slip too soon and avoid getting pounded when the wave breaks!

Someone can be worse at something than someone else who can't do said thing, and it's made quite likely when the thing in question is hard and dangerous. No, I couldn't do better; I'd do much worse. Learning skimboarding is even scarier than skateboarding. I remember running full speed only to bite the sand after a faulty throw... twice in a row. Hurts more than concrete lol

I stopped skimboarding...it is VERY dangerous. Dislocations...rolled ankles...broken bones . its very easy to get hurt if you don't know what you're doing.

Yeah, snowboarding has less room for error when it comes to big injuries. Skim boarding and skateboarding are more prone to bruises, cuts, and burns, but snowboarding can kill you if you’re not careful. The butt scoot and the shimmy are your best friends :)

Recognize those waves instantly. That kid is a beast btw! I was lucky enough to stay in a house on the mountain overlooking the beach in Cabo. Those waves are a constant, so peaceful like listening to the rain. So beautiful. Its warm all day then chilly at night. You step out onto your balcony to light the chimenea, lay back with a beer, some munchies, and a smoke with your friends. The night's sky full of stars, looking at the lights of the city from far, random fireworks(for us), and the never ending ocean. I love Cabo San Lucas.

10 years ago I broke my neck in Torrey Pines. A couple surgeries at Scripps Memorial a couple strokes from a dissected vertebral artery and thankfully a full recovery with no deficits. The risk vs reward model just doesnt work here.
