Girl, I love this! I am feeling awful about my new role as a sahm, with my 1st baby I am STRUGGLING, to make homemade food, spend enough time with baby, get my hour of prayer in, study the Word, try to organize this small home, lose the baby weight, battle feeling isolated, work in my planner, read, learn about serving my family to the best of my abilities, and keeping this place looking decent!!! It's so nice & refreshing to listen to you talk, it makes me feel like I'm not alone in this! I don't believe we should be ok with being a "Hot Mess Mom", and I want to step it up & make my man glad he chose to provide for us! And THANK YOU, for reminding us that God has a plan for what we ought to do here at home, though it feels like no one is watching.

My 4 kids are grown now but when I was a SAHM I tried to set myself up for success every day while he was at work. I also took the hour before he got home from work to make sure the living room was picked up so he wouldn’t walk into chaos. I took the kids into the bathroom and combed their hair and washed their faces. I tried to have dinner started. He loved it and it made me feel like a success! My kids are all successful adults an I have 10 beautiful grands! It I always thank God or my blessings and I pray for my family all the time!

Yes my morning routine is huge! Wake up at 5am before the kids, and I drink my coffee while I do my daily Bible reading, and then I get dressed to workout and do a 30 minute workout. So that why I'm ready to clean and unload the dishwasher at 6 😅 some days it doesn't happen because I sleep in, and I always regret it because then I never get around to working out, and getting the house picked up. We do really early bedtime in our house with my husband starting work at 4am, so I usually do the nightly cleaning in the mornings

Changing your clothes is so important!! I started doing this when I became a SAHM with my second child. I found myself stuck in a rut and honestly changing my clothes before going to bed and then staying in those clothes allllll day lol I don’t wear makeup and I wear my hair in a bun every single day BUT I rinse my face, put moisturizer on and get dressed. It makes me feel sooooo much better about myself and helps me to feel ready for the day even though I am at home 95% of the time. Love your perspective on home tasks. You are really onto something there! Some people may disagree but preach sister!!

🌻🌻🌻 You are inspiring to me. I really appreciate videos like this. Especially since this type are a lot easier to listen to when I am doing the dishes. I also don’t like touching old food. I wear dish gloves which honestly probably makes doing the dishes take longer because I need to take them off every time I need to help a kiddo. I have psoriasis on my hands and washing my hands or getting them wet at all makes my hands hurt really bad.

I can understand the value behind the comment about putting yourself together, but lets be clear who it is for... it's for us, it's for our honouring our femininity, it's for our spirit, it's for our creativity, it's for our children to see us taking time for ourselves and our expression. It's not so our husband doesn't stray his eyes while out in the workforce. That's on him lol. Love your content but dang, that comment was off side.

Right? If my husband love me less because I have been working my ass off all day taking care of our home and our children and don’t look perfectly put together when he gets home, he can hit the road. If my husband I wander when he’s out in public, that’s a him problem. And if he doesn’t want to fix his eyes he can find a new place to live.

I loved this video. I needed this motivation today. I do think that though it's good to try to look put together to at least some extent for our husbands and ourselves, if we have to worry about making sure we're not in pjs or looking messy at all ever because we think our husband will start looking elsewhere because he works around more put together women, then there's a problem with the marriage, not with our getting ready routine. We shouldn't have to worry our husbands won't find us attractive because we're sometimes worn down by all we handle as mothers and too tired or busy to get ready. Working outside the home and being a stay at home or work at home mom are different jobs, so we're not likely going to dress the same or get ready the same and our husbands shouldn't expect us to. I really get what you're saying and agree with a lot of it, but that part has the potential to make women insecure and paranoid. 🌻

Thank you for the encouragement to get up before the kids to get my day started. I have been wanting to do this on a consistent basis for so long and even though I am often awake at 0400 it is so so hard to get out of bed. I am almost 67 years old and have custody of four of my grandchildren. 2 have developmental delays and autism. My youngest is 8 and although he usually goes to bed easily ha doesn’t always sleep through the night, which means I don’t sleep well either. However, I am going to do my best to get up early, which will be around 415-430 since my 15yo that is also autistic gets up before 5.

🌻 I get up at 4:30 so I can have time before waking my kids at 5:30 to be out the door for school/work by 6:30. That one hour sets the tone for me. I’m very easily overstimulated by even routine family activity and this helps. I struggle in mornings before I leave for work if I don’t have that time! And I try to have something calm on in the car on the way home from work, because I’ve already been up for 12 hours before I start the “second shift.” I want to order the ear plugs you mentioned. I just want to say, thank you for mentioning caring about your appearance. Because I am 8 months pregnant. And ever since I saw this video I’ve been doing my makeup. And I actually feel like a better mom, better wife. I like who I see in the mirror. I always go through this phase with pregnancy and my cycle. But the encouragement was much needed! Also, I agree about the kitchen. Ever since I started trying to accomplish dishes before bed, I have been a happier person. I always do dishes while dinner is in the oven. And before the kids wake up, after my mommy time (now, not while I’m this pregnant, kids are up before me right now 🥲 - not everyday, but most days). Do you struggle keeping your routine during pregnancy? I’m trying to rebuild my routine before my son arrives. About the only things I can accomplish for sure daily is homeschool, feeding everyone, drinking water, and dishes…. Otherwise I’m pretty useless. But this is only my third pregnancy, and I’m finally feeling like a professional preggo. But I wish I had more self discipline with my routine. Btw water tip! Anytime you hit the bottle for a sip, take 8 sips. I learned this on a YouVersion bible plan about weight loss, but it totally has stuck with me and has helped me so much! God bless ❤️❤️❤️
