I was sitting on the floor (probably row 11) with my brother at this show. We were still in high school and had never seen a concert of this magnitude. Does anyone remember seeing the crazy chick wearing an all-white burqa (her face and body were covered entirely)? She was sitting directly in front of us and danced with some long-haired guy the entire show. My brother and I still talk about it to this day!

I am 59, I had the privilege to see Prince's first performance in L.A. (West Hollywood) at the Roxy Theatre in 1979 when I was 15 y.o. and saw pretty much all of his performances in Los Angeles. Saw his Dirty Mind Tour in 81, Controversy Tour in 82, 1999 Tour in 83, Lov Sexy Tour in 89, ACT 1 Tour in 93, Love For One Tour in 97, Hit N Run in 01, One Nite Alone Tour in 02, Musicology in 04, Vegas in 07 (saw him three times as he played in Vegas for about 6 months), Welcome to America Tour in 11, and the Outloud Tour in 13. From the first concert, I saw in 79 to the last one I saw in 2013, every single one of his concerts were different and there is no doubt that Prince was, in simple terms, a musical genius and there will never be another like him. I truly miss Prince.

The only musician that I ever shed a tear over was Prince. I saw him at a concert that happened on a whim in Atlanta a few years before his death. He just showed up and started playing. What started out with about 200 people listening ended up with about 30,000 people there to see him over the three-hour set. He was amazing; I remember Kiss, Raspberry Beret, Let’s Go Crazy, I Would Die 4 U, Nothing Compares 2 U, Somewhere Here on Earth; he played other people’s songs, too, like All Along the Watchtower, Dance to the Music, Little Ghetto Boy, and Superstition. It was great, especially when he ended with Purple Rain, which as he got older, became more his way of worshiping, or at least that’s what I believe. The guitar solo is on a different level every time he did a live performance. His musicianship will never be duplicated. Long live The Purple One…

I've seen Prince 10 times including aftershows and I still think this tour was his high mark. At least in terms of mainstream live shows. The thing that made Prince the greatest was that he was willing to share the spotlight with so many other talented musicians. He didn't have to be front and center stage the whole time. He gave others a chance to shine. A lot of other musicians are so narcissistic that it's got to be all about them, he was probably the best musician on that stage, could play ANY instrument; probably better than all of those other people and yet he still had the humility to step back so that others could step forward.

This once in a lifetime overflowing with talent guy was magic in the flesh. Nobody will ever come close to this mans prowess in the world of original music, and our world is full of talented people. The first celebrity death I wept like a baby over, in my life. Fuck I miss this dude being around. BADASS TO THE CORE! BTW, Eric Clapton never made the comment rumor had regarding Prince being the best guitarist alive; doesn't really matter tho. We know he was.

My sentiments exactly.....I am a hardcore Prince fan......since the very beginning, and Prince is still the Baddest in all the land !!!!

a brutal musician. The music radio of that time said that Prince had thousands of songs written, in a safe. Legend or reality.

I remember this concert. My husband, dad and stepmom attended this together. What a blast! I think I lost like 10 pounds dancing all night. This guy was a fantastic performer. He is missed.

The first time I saw Prince was when Dez Dickerson was his guitarist in Detroit at Cobo Hall. The second time I saw him was in Pontiac, MI. I received an CD of Prince music when I gave my ticket to enter the venue. And I watch numerous of his concerts on KZbin. Prince is the official GOAT.

Shouldn't have doped so much 🤷🏽♂️ That's sad but we lost so many huge Artists because they were on dope, "official" dope... Fentanyl, or Propofol for MJ. Opioid OD for Prince.

Saw this in Nashville.....in Imax. It was a simulcast of the Staples Center show. One of my favorite shows. The camera angles, close-ups provided for a very unique experience.
