I had some great parents in many ways. I know many people who say they had great parents. But one thing for sure, most of us absolutely love their parents. And that means we tolerate, we love and we forgive. I remember telling my mom once when she did something to me “I’ll never do that to MY kids!” And my mom said “maybe you will, maybe you won’t but even so, you’ll make other mistakes”. 50 years later - isn’t that the truth!

Can't agree more. No child grows up to believe their parents' parenting was perfect. But as adults we are able to see it through their eyes and we grow up to tolerate and forgive and also know that we will make mistakes with our children as well.

I agree. Bring up children is an evolving exercise of walking a tightrope trying to do your best. Harry should remember there is no handbook with all the answers and mistakes are made but the bottom line is, if you are lucky you loved and protected.

@@kathysearcy6245 Ofcourse everyone's experience is dofferentf and to be honest, I was told i was mistakenly conceived and they kept me hoping i would be a boy. Apparently some of my sisters were angry when i was born. I was also told throughout my childhood that i was accidently swapped (as a prank apparently but i used to believe it) and my mom used to tell me that my life will add up to nth but being a house maid to my in laws and children, therefore i shouldn't pretend as if i am special. Those things have given me serious commitment issues among other things but as a 27 year independent person, i understand that there was no ill will and just ignorance and my mother's own issues reflecting through her words. What matters to me now is the fact that i was loved in my family and i was provided with good education (better than many get) inspite of all those things.

@@anjaniadhikari6952 that doesn't make it okay or hurt anyless and Prince Harry did say 'if' he experienced any trauma due what his father went through there should be no pointing fingers because his father simply treated him based on what he knew and that is okay that is why he say there should be no pointing fingers especially as Dax was telling him about his experiences with being molested and how his parents affected him, so prince was simply like there should be no pointing fingers at the parents like in his case his father acted how he knew and how he was raised and that didn't help him much because needed help but he made the wrong decisions in terms of the way to help himself which was drugs and alcohol or partying and his excuse to himself was I'm young so this is what teenagers do but in actual fact he was just a teenager in so much pain that he was burying and not acknowledging for 10 years because to him it was like there is no point it won't bring her back, he was complaining alot like he hated his life and the job and he knew there was no way out but when people told him he needed help it pushed him to do the wrong things and i don't think his father knew how to handle that and that is okay but it is also because of the way he was raised with the stiff upper lip and to act tough an example is where he (Charles) went to school and he hated it there because he was bullied according to the royal family's mouth pieces or how they prefer to be called royal experts amd Charles spoke of his tough upbringing and parents being distant and cold in a authorised biography but he was saying it as a reaction to the whole diana thing years after her death. Prince harry wasn't making the comment to in anyway bash his father he made clear he understands and most parents anyways will want their children to be better version of them because there is always room for improvement and Prince Harry simply said he has to do better for his son not that he won't make mistakes too but he atleast wants to do his best so he doesn't repeat those mistakes and his son ends up being another version of younger Prince Harry in pain making wrong decisions and not asking for help. Prince Harry also spoke of how in his 20's he didn't want the job (the media part of it anyway how the media machine affects one's mental but the job as a royal is just bear it and grin don't complain, so basically the media just abuses them through the coverage in whatever way they please) mostly because has seen the damage it can cause especially with his mother which later changed because when travelled around the commonwealth and especially Africa he refocused and he was like right stop complaining and find a way to make your mother proud as you are in a position of privilege and there is no getting out so helping others was his therapy, well that and tge army which the media almost ruined again and that made him angry obviously most people knew about his reaction to not being deployed due to things leaking and he felt helpless and he back in that state of this is so unjust but they found a new way for him to go the military. Honestly we all have to break the stigma around mental which is simply what he is trying to do so this is not ab attack against his family because we already know all of the mess on his family anyways but he twisted it in an empathatic sense that they all went through their fair share if things and pain because people like calling the royal family cold (which to fair is what they symbolise the whole stiff upper lip model) and dysfunctional but prince harry was like yes i have privilege and different life experiences but our shared humanity is the struggles and pain we go through mentally so if i as a Prince who has everything can go through it anyone and everyone can so there is no shame in your mental health struggles but you have to open up and ask for help because that is more of a sign of strength then weakness and people with mental health issues need to know this because especially as suicide is high amongst men. We honestly have to reduce the numbers of self-harm, suffering in silence and suicide how is it that a family has to endure tge pain of losing a child or person that looked okay but was indeed in pain, mental health is a silent killer and if you don't talk you might seriously just end up ending it all because you are in such a dark place you can't think straight. Also there rape victims who literally go through mental issues but simply suffer in silence because of the fear. Prince Harry simply saying guys we have to be open ablut mental makes him just another person that won't get the attention of someone in pain sometimes it takes a person being unfortunately for him vulnerable in public if he wants to raise awareness and really make an impact because he needs to get the person's ear or attention when he says it's okay to not be okay because most of us if not all of us have been there so talk to someone anyone a friend or seek professional help. Him talking about like a royal and being all fancy and simply saying seek help won't cut it because this people here this things everyday and when i say this people i include myself because it can happen to anyone. If e simply says seek help people will react like he did when he wasn't not okay they do the exact opposite by not serking help or seeking the wrong help like cutting their wrists and etc. most people label it as attention seeking and if so that person needs attention really because most people only pay attention when it is too late e.g Caroline Flack and more. The question is would you rather hear your loved ones story (or how some people call it whining) or would you rather attend their funeral. So Prince Harry is not saying go on a podcast and tell the world like he did because he just did that in the hope of raising awareness and to help stir up the converstions with any mental health issues whether it is bulimia or a child getting bullied at school or a person who can't pay their mother's cancer expenses so they don't ask for help and not only trun to drugs due to the pressure but turn to crime and etc. So lets not focus too much what was said about the royal family as if we already don't know the world doesn't revolve around them and I'm sure they too (the younger generation of royals) want awareness raised on mental health it is just they are not brave enough to open up it is too much of a rosk and tge media backlash will be too great for them so i understand but let's focus on the conversation about mental because as much as people want to makesure the royal family always look like saints unfortunately Prince Harry took it upon himself to advocate for mental health and if he really wants to make sometype difference he has to risk himself getting backlash and critised or being labelled as complaining to help that one person who is struggling. So the royal family being seen as saints has too wait because mental health is a serious issue and it needs all the help it can right now so Prince Harry is just putting his name behind it and his brother played a part in that because he kept quiet for 28 years and struggled in silence but his brother kept encouraging him to speak about it to someone which i am glad he did (good work William because he unleashed a mental health advocate that can be very resourceful in fighting the stigma by choosing to be vulnerable ablut his past experiences in order for someone else to speak up and ask for help) and his take was whats the point it won't bring her back and his wife who when she was a girlfriend encouraged him too to get therapy because he said he gets really angry as in like a fire i him when he feels helpless so he needed professional help with that. So lets please take a moment to listen to our friends and they don't want to talk tell them you are there with them no matter what and when they are ready to talk you will be ready to listen anytime and if the issue is even bigger and requires psychological expertise be there for them through the whole therapy journey until they fully recover also there are some therapy sessions that are free like the call line therapy organisations. There is also an MP who's wife committed suicide and he said she showed no signs whatever of not being okay but she is no longer here and his children and himself will grow uo without a wife and a mother and not due to natural causes but something evitable although there was no way of knowing but we need knowledge on how to actually know they are not okay because tou won't know simply by looking at a person, i am no professional but i think we simply have to encourage our frineds that when you ask if they are okay or how they are doing they will answer truthfully in everyway and vice versa but i want to know more on what to do or how to help as the symptoms are not seen by a naked eye, so i want to know how to help before it's too late.

Kathy Searcy where in the world does it confirm your first two statements, please supply receipts. With regard to the chimpanzee picture, it was put up by Danny Baker who on finding who had just been born apologized profusely, took it down and subsequently lost his job and is still unemployed. It all happened in a matter of hours and it is well known the Palace neither complain or explain as instructed by the Queen. They would never put out a statement and prefer for this sort of ill advised error to die a death. As to the marriage between Charles and Diana, I don't think anyone should make comment about a relationship between two people as they are the only people who know the truth as there is always two sides to a story.

Correction, he uses the privilege he was born into to support his family and causes. You can't help the station you are born to in life. Millions of children benefit from their parent's privilege. Are you condemning them as well? Who would benefit from him walking away from his royal life and charitable work to go be a hermit. Nobody. People seem to forget that the reason he was on the podcast was to talk about his new show coming out about mental heath and fitness. If you read the headlines, you would think the tv show was only about him, but it actually features other people. His story was one of many. He's using his production deal with Netflix to do a show about the next Invictus Games. He used his son's birthday to support vaccine distribution. He work with Global Citizen to promote vaccine availability in poor countries. He's not working for a hedge fund or simply living on his inheritance. He is choosing to make a difference. I don't have to know him personally to respect him for that.

Harry needs to look at his grandfather's (Prince Philip) childhood....He and his family had to flee Greece and were refugees who made it to France for Safety and lived by the kindness of some relatives there. Prince Philip's mother had a nervous breakdown and was sent to a sanitarium. Philip was shuffle around and sent to boarding schools. His sisters sided with the Nazis. Philip joined the military (Navy) rose to very high command positions. Philip made something of his life despite the terrible things in his childhood. He grew to be responsible , honorable and caring man. The Queen saw this and fell in love with him....They were married 73 years. Philip taught his children everything and was sometimes stern with them but they adored him.

Leave it to Phil to defend Harry. What Phil said (copied from video transcript) Harry said "Giles, Giles, Charles I've got to say sorry. He didn't say that. What he said when he was asked about it, he said 'I don't want to comment about the first amendment. I've only just arrived here. It's really quite confusing for someone like me. It's a bit bonkers.' So that's what he said" What Harry said “I’ve got so much I want to say about the First Amendment as I sort of understand it, but it is bonkers. I don’t want to start going down the First Amendment route because that’s a huge subject and one which I don’t understand because I’ve only been here a short time. But, you can find a loophole in anything. You can capitalize or exploit what’s not said rather than uphold what is said.” It would be accurate to summarize what Harry said about the 1st amendment "Prince Harry calls the 1st amendment 'bonkers'" because there are no loopholes or exploitation. You can't support freedom while demanding that there be restrictions. 1 - the 1st amendment isn't difficult to understand "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." In other words "The government can't make any laws interfering with religion, or restricting what people are allowed to say, or restricting the press, or restricting people from assembling peacefully, or preventing people from petition the government about grievances" 2 - if you are concerned about loopholes that means you don't support the 1st amendment and don't want people saying or publishing things which you don't agree with. The law protects that if someone publishes or says something that's not true and damages your reputation then you can sue them (something he should be familiar with). 3 - What isn't said can be just as important as what is. Actions speak louder than words. He's behaving just like those he criticizes by exploiting his family by bad mouthing them knowing they won't speak out. And how is he being exploited. Without the press he wouldn't have a platform where he can make millions of dollars whining about how his life has been terrible (no one would hire him if he didn't have the publicity. He doesn't seem to have many skills). At the same time the press will report if his behavior is hypocritical (this is why freedom of press is included in the 1st amendment, to call out when the govt/businesses behave unethically). They haven't exploited him. They reported on what he said, "that we need to be environmentally conscious", while at the same time flying on private jets, living in mansions, etc. Refer to #2, he doesn't support the 1st amendment. He could have moved to many other countries where speech and press have more restrictions (he considered South Africa “We’ve just come from Cape Town, that would be an amazing place for us to be able to base ourselves - of course it would.” However, he pointed out that there were issues with living in the Commonwealth nation of South Africa. He said: “With all the problems that are going on there, I just don’t see how we would be able to make as much difference as we want to without the issues and the judgement of how we would with those surroundings.” “So, the rest of our lives, our life’s work will be predominantly focused on Africa, on conservation." And it's the 1st amendment which allows him to criticize his family the way he has. In the past he could have been punished for treason. In modern times he could be sued for defamation. Johnny Depp is suing his ex-wife for defamation for $50 million.

If he always wanted to leave, why didn’t they take the Queen’s offer to let Meghan continue to work? Why did they ask to be half-in Royals funded by taxpayers when they first stepped back? He never admits any fault of his own. Look at how William turned out suffering the same trauma, upbringing and having even more pressure on his shoulders? Harry is becoming a professional victim. First, I was shocked how many other class members had never heard of him, but they were mostly in their 20s. Secondly, a few even looked for a more current example of an average family, and a number of them suggested the Kardashians! Again...very young writers. Pastor Shawn, I highly disagree with you. What behavior, you mean speaking out telling your lived experiences and the issues they has struggle with throughout their lives in the RF bubble. What Harry said about Charles parenting is nothing new. It was wildly known that Charles felt Prince Philip was harsh and critical of him and expressed that Charles was a bit soft and that his mom was detached. Please review many of the royal documentries or books that were done, they provide alot of insight. Harry just acknowledged that he recognized his father upbringing which is why Charles parented the way he did. Infact he left the hospital to go play Polo an hour after his son was born leaving Diana alone. There are stories untop of stories. All Harry did was to say, he want to changed some things in his parenting apparatus when it comes to raising his own children. You and many like yourself act as though Harry committed a crime by speaking up. Even those many of us who are not monarchist or royalist respect the Queen , however she is a person with flaws just like the rest of us, as the Brits say commoners, Borned into privileged and lived a different live, with high expectations unlike many. Nevertheless, the Queen family history and how they came into being and maintained a hierachy speaks volume. So please stop acting as if Harry committed some horrible act, what he said was honest and his understanding and education of his OWN life experience of being raised in the RF. We can all have an opinion, as opinions come a dime a dozen and are free flowing like water but Harry lived it and his experienced is the only one that shall matter, whether we agree with it or not. The other Royals can do the same by speaking up if they choose to or not.

Holly thinks Harry is happy and Philip thinks he is doing wonders for mental health! They really drank the koolade!😂 What Camilla said made sense, that when you exercise your right to speak about your mental health, you also should have an awareness of the effect you have on the mental health of others. Harry seems to be only thinking of himself and sacrificing the happiness and mental well-being of his family.

Many Americans could care less about H&M. Camila is right that the celebrities, such has Oprah, Dax, etc., are rubbing their hands with glee - the want the royal title, they want dirt and gossip on the royal family, etc, because they’re hoping to boost their own pocketbook and their own celebrity status. As an American I’m tired of the two of them preaching at us from their lofty mansion in their expensive clothes. I’ve lost a ton of respect for H.

Any therapist, priest or person of peace will tell you that forgiveness is the only way to really move on. Psychotherapists will tell you to try to control your thinking... choose which rides to ride your trains of thoughts on. If you get on the train of "genetic pain" well then you will ride on that train. Most important thing you could ever do for your own sake is to forgive. You've got to forgive and then work on boarding the correct trains of thought. This is a learned behavior because by default many of us ride trains that take us to dark places. Forgiveness is also not an easy thing to do, especially if you are angry and hold a grudge but it's the right thing to do. Harry got on the train to Dax Shepherd about Genetic Pain and it took him down the rabbit hole - on air - no less. I certainly don't want to be on the ride with him. Not at my age.. life is too short, forgive the family that loves you and move on to green pastures. We all know how much Harry is loved by his family, that is certainly without a doubt. Oh also, we all need to vent.. but let's keep in private huh?? Between friends, therapists, priests... Because there are other people involved in your vent and they have feelings too.

There is nothing morally correct in what Harry is saying , does not matter if it’s hyped up or not , Harry should not be using his family in this way , Phillip Scofield of all people must understand the impact on family when one makes revelations to the world on a public forum . You consider the impact before opening your mouth to millions .Phillip needs to re think his stance , he is out of order and indifferent to the harm Harry is doing . He and his wife wanted to control what the media said about them and thought in the USA they could do this because they had wonderful PR people who would be able to control what was said and written about them. Well, they can't do it in the USA just like they couldn't in the UK. When they are forever trashing other people in order to present themselves as victims they will eventually offend some people and they will end up being criticised and disliked which is what is happening. A few years on and everyone has forgotten how tragic her death was. Her funeral was in front of the world, with two, young sons, following the hearse. I'm quite positive that the boy's heard all the rumours and then their father married the woman he was cheating on their mother with. Royalty or not, 16 bathrooms or not; grief is grief. Who is anyone to tell Harry or William that they cannot still grieve for their mother; who they are surely missing, even more now, that they have their own children. They are bound to have certain triggers. If Harry is angry at his dad, can you blame him? Charles wasted no time with Camilla and I'm sure that hurt Harry and William. Maybe Harry isn't dealing with things the way people would like, but it's not anyone else's life, it's his. As he has said before "he's dammed if he does and dammed if he doesn't."

There was nothing he said to be offended by. The royal experts have no clue what Americans think and they’ve made up their minds that anyone who doesn’t agree with an archaic monarchal life is wrong.

He wanted privacy , hence he stepped down as working royals . So if this is his privacy then I hope he has peace with it at the end of the day .

Stop saying he wants to live a quiet life. That's why he speaks because you lie Al the time about him. Stop putting this liar on TV.
