I lost my mum 8 months ago although her death was caused by terminal cancer. The palliative care I gave her was an honour but underneath that sense of duty and care was a form of trauma and grief which ultimately would be all I was left with in the following months. The pain he speaks of is different and at least I got to say goodbye - I couldn't imagine how that must've F'd him up inside. That sentence about sacrificing everything for one more hour with her absolutely ended me, like Allison.

Instinctively I know his mum adored him & in fact she wld have prob left this world earlier if it wasn't for him. However, it's harder to turn that understanding to yr own situation....but watching this has made me think I'll try. 💞 to u Joey xcx
