Rumeysa and Jyoti are both beautiful, remarkable women. Congratulations on your world records! Edit: I hope Rumeysa and Jyoti have seen my comment by now, as I am going to write an edit addressed to the people (all men, except for one, as far I can tell) who have criticized my comment: why these men have such a hard time perceiving beauty in these women escapes me. Why it irritates them that I, and others, can see it is equally perplexing. My lack of understanding has led to a decision to not respond to any future replies.

He is not a translator. Also, his job is not to quote her words, it is to give a synopsis of her words. He is an interpreter. Translators read and write. interpreters listen and speak. I've never ever noticed ANYONE like Rumeysa! I mean, she may have been brought into the world in a completely different way, being born so huge, even the way she sounds is huge, including the needs with assistance, HOWEVER, she talks and thinks like a normal person! SUPER astonishing! So unique! 😃

It must be so hard not to be patronising towards Jyoti. Even I, as a healthcare professional who is viscerally aware of the value that all human beings place on their autonomy and independence, had an immediate urge to want to pick her up because she is so cute. That would obviously be appalling to actually do, but she must be asked ‘Can I just pick you up?’ all the time, as an adult. I’m the smallest adult I’ve met (4’10) so can’t begin to imagine how her life has been. However, I feel truly sorry for Rumeysa. Standing out in such an overt way must have been a horrendous experience when growing up and day to day. Seeing her manage to find peace and security in herself is incredible.

Height does have an impact on our voices. The taller we are, the further the sound travels up our vocal chords, so the more reverberations it has, which gives it a lower pitch, and vice versa; shorter heights, fewer reverberations, higher pitch.
