This song always sounds like a 2NE1 song to me. It came out the same year that 2NE1 disbanded and I totally believe it was their song that they re-recorded with BLACKPINK. I can tell which 2NE1 member was supposed to do every part

AS IF IT'S YOUR LAST is the first song, chronologically, that introduces a "happy, poppy" vibe. BLINKS usually refer to BLACKPINK songs as either "BLACK" or "PINK", the reason for that came from AS IF IT'S YOUR LAST: AS IF IT"S YOUR LAST was the only song released in 2017, after an eight-month hiatus in which the group was hidden except for award shows and their reality show BLACKPINK HOUSE. One hour before the music video dropped on KZbin, the group had a "Live Countdown Show" where they talked about the video and how excited they were. Jennie tried to describe the song without giving away spoilers. She said "We were nervous about releasing this song because it was different from our previous songs." She awkwardly was trying to come up with a way to describe it and said "It's more of a .... "pink" song than the others, it was uncomfortable filming it because we had to smile and in previous videos the CEO told us to look fiercely into the camera." Fans took that comment and ran with it, categorizing every song as either "Black" or "Pink". Neither the group nor their company had created the labels, it was entirely fanmade, and in reality it's a mess because everyone uses their personal taste to label a song either BLACK or PINK. ...so in closing the only song that the group actually named by color is AS IF ITS YOUR LAST.

Great Reaction Roscoe! This song was not written with BlackPink in mind! It was supposed to be for 2NE1 BlackPinks older sister group but they turned it down! Even BlackPinks said it was too girly for them! However this video ended up in The Justice League because Ezra Miller aka The Flash was a fan! When Bruce Wayne is waiting for Barry Allen to return to his pad and he turns the power switch on As If It’s Your Last Starts playing in the background which we can see! BlackPink was on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine in June 2022 and they explained that had burned out thus one M/V and YG gave a 100 day vacation and BlackPink House! Circumstances beyond their control! I personally like it but then again I bias towards BlackPink!🖤🌸🙏🏻

It took me a while to like this song, but I went to their concert and the “Black Pink in your Area” part goes pretty hard at the end, at least it did at the concert I went too and I really liked that part, this one their last tour is the song they play to end their concerts

I'm probably not the target audience either (just turned 41) but I absolutely love all of their songs LMAO - including this one. They're my ULTs. For the male groups, I love Stray Kids and EXO. For the type of switch up and ending you were describing, just check out their B-side "Forever Young". You won't see it coming 🤣 There is no M/V for it, though. Just the lyric videos and live performances. Also, "Pretty Savage" is my overall favorite B-Side from them. I don't think I'll ever get tired of that one.

The last comment is right,.. Lisa freakin crushes it here. And it's more than her vocals alone. It's THAT face and that attitude and THAT smile. It's her saying I'm not just another Korean artist. I'm something different. I'm something original and exciting. It's everything about her presence that makes her who we all LOVE. Blackpink never fails to impress. The Gogos...I get it. Early- to Mid-1980's Teeny-bopper Pop from North America. Some of the instrumentation from As If It's Your Last gave me a wave of nostalgia, reminds me of early (incredibly young) Debbie Gibson. :)

Blackpink is appropriately named since they have a black and a pink side. This song is their pink/girly side. You, like me are likely more interested in their black side although this is cute.

Fun facts: The crew had to keep making the cotton candy because the girls kept eating it. Lisa was just being herself when she did the little head wriggle and didn't know that it would end up being in the video.

I don’t really listen to pop songs, im a blink but this was aways my least favourite song, but the more i listened to it the more i fell in love, i loved how in the chorus where lisa starts singing, in the back you can hear “yuhh” 😭

This is another song originally for 2NE1. They recorded the demo for their Crush album and it hit much harder but 2NE1 rejected it in the end as they already had too many good songs for their album. The original title was called Blame It On Your Love.
