No Dustin, DON'T go sequential. Patience man, even a 400whp single turbo R32 gtr would be insane and scary on the track. 600 will be mental. DON'T OVERBUILD THE CAR. Seat time is king and if you make it too complicated, you'll never drive it. Just look at TJ, he wanted to drift and got carried away building the 350, now it's a big ordeal to take that car out and he gets way more seat time in his 370. Just enjoy it as it is and become confident in it. I'd start at lower boost and work up from there. Just enjoy the car man, no sequential

The Gtr gearbox is great for what he is doing...Why spend 10gs on a transmission when the gtr is going to blow up after a few track days... He dosen't even check his gauges and just keeps racing... Dustin is a great guy but not that smart when it comes to cars... As a 20 year technician Dustin still needs to take advice from older guys that have been racing for years... 💯👍💪

Just weird that they're spending so little time tuning the Car. The most known tuners in germany (where cars get ridden hard, for extended periods) they're spending 5-8 days with it, till every load scenario is properly tuned and tested/monitored. Like i doubt they tuned the ECU to manage 20-30% load input at 6k rpm for example (low load, high speed cornering).

@@OnlyDominican i know its german, but still might be interesting for you: HK-Power in Germany. They machine and tune all their Engines inhouse. Streetlegal for german/swiss roads, which involves quite some tinkering about emissions too, going up to 500-550hp on 350/370Z or higher on Skylines/Supras. Also an amazing turbokit for the GT86, which would make everyone buy one if it was stock like that

Just increase the overboost cut limit at lower boost pressure and lower boost duty. You’re hitting your boost limit to early in the rev range. I had a similar thing happened to me when I was tuning boost. As soon as I hit a certain boost pressure, it would immediately cut. I increased the boost cut limit at lower boost pressure (40kPa and 60kPa) to 100kPa, which is only about 14 psi. I was able to hold boost at lower boost pressure, but would hit my boost cut at high boost pressure, so I lowered the boost duty at higher boost pressure so I can be within my target boost pressure and boost cut. I don’t understand timing, so I don’t mess with that. I left it as it was.

@@spudpotat24 I see. So from my novice understanding, assuming they had a boost controller solenoid, perhaps they did not have a high enough duty cycle to release air from the solenoid and instead it triggered the wastegate to release that pressure. Sounds like an opportunity. Lol

if the motor is built, full send it!. I was making 620hp on a stock RB26 long block with cams. Get yours to 800hp!. if it has billet oil Gear, rev it to 9,000rpm will be alright. Us Aussies know RBs ;)
