I have not played with this model Civic. But I have seen multiple of them on the internet have lifted the back of the hood, to help more of that hot air out of the engine bay. Latest one was drag racing on the Hoonigan channel. Something to maybe look into.

AiM dash with LinkECU for management of engine and custom alerts. Reduce redline when issues occur kind of thing. Good time for oil pressure and temp sensor install

Tranny oil cooler vented carbon hood will help run the car cooler as well and offsets the added weight. Love the HKS mods.

Make sure and read up on oil viscosity for the track as most people use a thicker oil on track and normal for daily driving.

Thanks for the tip, but obviously… it’s not my first time going to the track. There have been multiple tests with 5w30 and it’s shown there’s no reason to swap from the 0w20 on the FK8.

Hope you're looking to get a vented hood. I never had any cooling issues with this car and vented hood was one of the first things I did before I put my HKS Intercooler in also. A mate who runs almost the same power mods and tune as I without a vented hood had cooling issues the last track day.

Would recommend to upgrade the throttle body coupler as those are know to deteriorate on the FK8 and also recommend to use 5W30 oil if you’re gonna track. 0W20 would look like water after track.

Would it make a difference if you heat wrap the intercooler piping? I know it's for exhaust to keep the heat in but would it help in the small places to keep the heat off the intercooler pipe?
