I can't stand hot chocolate with water. My hot chocolate has to be with milk or it tastes nasty. The velvetiser is cool. We have something like that here in the U.S, but I forgot what it's called. LOL.

Hi guys. The region Tracey is from, Gaspé, Quebec, is pronounced as "Gas-pay". The Aero 's named after the city of Nanaimo, BC, is pronounced Na-nai(rhymes with my)-mo. There's a treat named after the town that where they were invented. They have a graham cracker base covered in milk chocolate, topped with vanilla custard (like a Bostin cream pie filling), and then another graham cracker covered in milk chocolate. Once baked, then put it in the freezer. Take out of the freezer half an hour to thaw a bit before eating it. They're absolutely scrumptious with a bug glass of ice cold milk!

The crust also has cocoa and coconut. Crust, custard filling, chocolate topping. Crust and filling have to be the same thickness!

A Nanaimo Bar is a no bake Canadian snack (usually homemade). It has a base of cocoa powder, coconut shreds, graham (digestive) crumbs and melted butter; a middle layer of custard cream made with Birds custard power and a top layer of chocolate,

Gaspe sounds like Gas pay, as an English person though. I open the bottom of chip bags , the most flavour is there , yummy. My family only got Gherkins at Christmas, not sure why but once I was an adult I keep them in all the time, same with Clementines. lol

My Father was raised in Presque Isle Maine, way north almost Canada. His Father had crossed illegally and lived his entire life in Presque Isle. We went once when I was young, we lived in Boston Massachusetts. Everyone spoke French and seriously everyone grew potatoes in their yards. My Father liked to eat them raw as he did as a kid.

The Gaspé area; an in fact, both the north and south shores of the Bay of Chaleur were settled by Canadians (i.e. Quebecers), Acadians, Scots, Irish and English (including the islands of Jersey and Guernsey). Unfortunately much of the original English speaking population of the northern shore (Gaspé shore) have left; many going to the US, Montreal, Ontario or even British Columbia.

As a Montrealer, allow me to just make a small correction. Not all provinces are bilingual. For example here in Montreal yes we are bilingual and actually all government documents are only in French and provided in English upon request. However places like Brutush Columbia and Ontario are english speaking provinces.

The language used at work mostly depends on the nature of your job. Some jobs only require English; some only require French and some require both. However, it is true that for the most part the de facto language at work in the province of Quebec is French.

@@coriurda1026 So what! If you are an anglophone, you will receive service in English. If you are tried in court, you are tried in English. If you go to the hospital you can receive service in English. If you file your taxes, you may do it in either English or French. If you are a member of parliament and want to speak in English, no one will stop you. You can speak in Chinese if you want to. The only thing that Official means is that the government works in French; however, that doesn't mean services are not rendered in the languages used by the English, Inuit, Cree, Innu, Micmac and other communities. Those communities also have rights to their language and culture!!

None of these products are actually regularly consumed by Canadians. We do love an Areo bar but you are eating fancy specialty bars the company makes but no one eats. Same with the hot chocolate those are specialty flavours put out once a year no one drinks them regularly. Those chips aren’t Canadian they are specific to Quebec. I’m from Saskatchewan and we don’t eat that brand in fact this is the first time I’ve seen them. Do better these aren’t Canadian treats you know not of what you speak. Clarify you are eating a regional treat. I REPEAT YOU ARE NOT EATING TRULY CANADIAN COAST TO COAST WELL KNOWN TREATS. NO ONE OUT OF THE EAST COAST EAT THESE SNACKS! First time viewer who won’t return thumbs down 👎🏼
