Genesis, which was first produced in 1999, tells the 'hole' story of The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp's creation. Founder Paul Newman, architects, construction workers, medical professionals and others share exciting accounts of their efforts to build a hideout in northeast Connecticut for seriously ill children to "raise a little hell." Viewers see how, in an astonishing nine months, a 344-acre Camp emerged from the woods featuring 35 buildings - including 15 cabins, a swimming pool, horse barn, recreation center and a Shaker-barn dining hall. The Camp, which has grown from a summer camp for children into a year-round organization that serves the entire family, provides "a different kind of healing" to more than 25,000 children and family members annually. All of Camp's programming is free of charge.
