I feel the exact same way. I’ve been a little stressed this month, and Radiohead’s music always brings me peace. And if it’s not Radiohead, it’s adjacent to Radiohead, i.e. The Smile, Thom Yorke, Atoms For Peace, etc.

I sincerely hope Thom and Jonny haven't moved onto The Smile to give up the ghost on another Radiohead album. Hopefully all the members will come back one day, and don't instead perceive Radiohead as a band of which it is now better to just preserve its legacy. Thoughts?
@max_4359 ай бұрын
The Smile is just a progression and evolution of Radiohead and Thom I feel. It’s obvious that sonically the guys have kind of transcended Radiohead and have moved far beyond their early roots.I think it’s all a lot of Sentimentality for this need for the Radiohead name to be on the next project. Why cant The Smile be that. The music is amazing
@robaky929 ай бұрын
@@max_435 I disagree. The Smile is more of an outlet for Thom and Jonny to express some of their ideas without being confined to the expectations of 'Radiohead'. Another album is certainly on the way, probably around 2026/2027. Admittedly, that could well be their last.

Im sorry and no disrespect to those who enjoy this, but this is boring. I'm not the kind of person who's like, 'there's more exciting things now.' I'm not the type you can reply to angrily or condescendingly, like 'they already did more math rock-like stuff on their album or movie soundtracks'. And I know, nowadays there's so much resampling and shit, and the simple message of this performance is what's worth getting bored of. I think I covered most of the angry bullshit in comments, but really, it's bland, uninspired, and boring shit. Spinetta died doing interesting stuff; age and getting old is by no means an equivalence to being boring, uninspired, bland, and musically dull.
