You know apart from the great music, Danny's unapologetic weird imagination is such an inspiration to me. The backstory, the world, the visuals he creates around his projects elevate them to so much more than just good music. Every one of his albums I feel like I want to see the weird, crappy/great, indie arthouse B-movie it's meant as an OST for.

Do not underestimate the force of the PSS-480! It was my first synthesizer. You can get incredible sounds out of it. I have also the Roland D-10. Also great sounding sounds! I had the JD-800. I saw you have a Jupiter 4. That's on my wishlist. Sounds amazing! Greetings from Tienen, Belgium.

I appreciate the fact that besides having flagship synthesizers in there, his emphasis remained on sound and taste regardless of the quality/reputation/trendiness of the equipment. You can tell his focus is what things sound like to him. I bought the DEP-5 because of this video. And I made a list of the obscure/cheap pieces he displayed too.
@Georg892 жыл бұрын
I'm still pretty new to synthesizers, but I like his attitude towards his instruments and how he also talks positively about certain weak points (like "it gives it a character of its own") instead of bashing the devices (as you often find on forums).

Yeah, they are always fun to watch. 🙂Since you also seem to be a pro wrestling fan (maybe even since the "hard times" era of Dusty Rhodes around '85)...and just in case you don't know: Ric Flair is having his "last match" on July 31st at an event called Starrcast V. Flair and Andrade (who is married to Flair's daughter in real life) vs. Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett. Whooo! They even made a 2-part docu series about the whole thing...which - as some sort of huge surprise - even led to a well laid-out storyline for the match (nice build-up!). There was even some sort of "reference" made to the old "horsemen" parking lot attack on Dusty.
