I am using the Elektron Rytm Synth source. Recorded with a Elysia Skultper Preamp and Lipinski EQ plus internal processing. So that is maybe worth to do a tutorial on its own, how to produce Kickdrums with a certain impact and presence.

Great tutorial and awesome jam! Is there a specific reason you are not using modular for the kick and sub? I ask because I have trouble creating a kick I like that has subtle variation like your high-hat. It usually gets too repetitive quickly.

Hey dude, I think about that topic a lot too, have you got a solution? I tend to use a vermona lancet with longer recordings and processing afterwards. On top some rythmic variations in layering and processing.
