Wow, apparently the lyrics differ slightly between the Thomas & Audrey version! This is what I managed to transcribe from these heavily processed vocals: (hoping they'll appear on extreme soon!) A cloud of black surrounds me He comes to me at night A land where lions roam free A land of no delight I buy a thousand hearts To tear them all apart I burn a thousand stars To find the one that might... Put out the fire in me Take all the rage that feeds me I've known it all along The stars are coming home The stars are coming home Draw out the fire in me Take all the rage that feeds me I've known it all along The stars are coming home The stars are coming home I buy a thousand hearts To tear them all apart I burn a thousand stars To find the one that might... Draw out the fire in me Take all the rage that feeds me I've known it all along The stars are coming home The stars are coming home Oh, the fire in me Take, the rage that feeds me/us (Audrey) I, will keep on using/We, will leave this darkness (Audrey) The stars are coming home The stars! Ah, I don't know what I'm using/ Ah, I'm finally coming home (Audrey) Ah, Ah The stars are coming home The stars! Ahhh Ah, I don't know what I'm using/ Ah, I'm finally coming home (Audrey)

This song is criminally underrated. Easily my favorite from Humanity II. I can't understand why it gets so much hate from the community. Sure it's different but that doesn't make it bad. Thomas Bergersen has composed so many amazing songs for us through the years. He's perfectly entitled to compose whatever the hell he wants and should have to get a negative response from his fans just because it's not what they're used to.

I didn’t like this song at first, but after a few listens... there is something between the grunge, the lyrics, the tune of the song and the contrast between the sung parts and the calm choir parts that really speaks to destructive anger, self-hatred and pure agony. And then you hear about the backstory of this song and it’s just... words fail me. Hats off.

I don't usually listen to songs on repeat, but this is one of those exceptions. Some of the verses to me feels like it's talking about abuse (child abuse maybe?) and that causes drug addictions. If we are to delve deeper into the meaning and understand the story that Thomas posted, it's actually really sad. And the heavily processed voice to me made the feeling the singer (in this case, Thomas' friend's feelings) so broken and hard to understand. Man, this song is damn deep!

Anyone else remember those dark days when youtuber and music creator fought over this music? Copyright claims all over and big channels with millions of views gone. But bit by bit, things changed. Instead of fighting we started promoting. Channels would give away all ad revenue back to audiomachine and two steps from hell. A new ablum would drop and we would guide people to purchase it, give links, and pay for licensing for our montages instead of just taking without no compensation. It used to be that a channel might go down any second, now we can barely keep up with all the music. From indie musicians making a mark on big channels like the prime chornus to TSFH doing their own uploads and interacting with us. It's really been amazing to see both sides grow and prosper from each other rather then fighting.

Instead of the Toa fighting Makuta as an analogy for medicine fighting cancer, it could be about substance abuse instead.
