April 30th, 2016; the day I learned who Thomas Cohen is, thanks to the May issue of MOJO magazine. I haven't yet read the article but I really like this, both the video & the music. I'm immediately taken with his looks (gorgeous!) and want to hear more.

I rarely am getting hooked on an album from head to toe. Last Similar examples were David Gray and his White Ladder, Alexander (Alex Ebert album), John Grant and his Pale Green Ghosts. This one is a must-hear for few of you out there who like space guitars+piano+voice which can eject you on your personal journey, too far from the madding crowd. It has echoes from Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Suede, Lou Reed ,Jarvis Cocker and maybe the most non-commercial part of Richard Aschcroft. Thomas Cohen can be a brighter and lighter version of Nick Cave. Here is what Pitchfork says about the album:" Cohen strikes a fine balance between sweet wooziness and cathartic guitar/saxophone/flute soloing. Where Bloom Forever could easily-and justifiably-have been dark and oppressive, instead, it's filled with inviting warmth and light, and sharpened by Cohen's reedy, Byronesque tone."

Let's not pretend here. If this landed on any record company desk in the 60s 70s 80s they may have actually commissioned an assassin to terminate him, thus stopping the spread of this debilitating sound from reaching the human ear ever again. Absolutely awful. No words

he is talented. It's just he seems to be over acting, over reaching. His movements seem forced almost and faked. In fact, I think that's exactly it.... its off putting to ppl as he seems to be presenting himself falsely . Perhaps he just isn't always most comfortable in certain songs, or in certain performances for varying reasons. Maybe if he felt more relaxed it would come off as he intends it to.

@@omarks His wife had just passed away. People who make ignorant, hurtful comments instead of simply leaving something behind that they may not care for, obviously fail to perceive that most people have personal issues they're dealing with. You could do the right thing and either delete your comment or apologise, either would be appreciated very much.

+TheMartini1234 The biggest thing is the way he's moving around in bizarre ways throughout the video. He moves like what a little kid would do while pretending to sing in their hairbrush. He looks ridiculous. And he's weird with the lips sofa. The quality of the video is shite, no better than what someone could film in their house with a cell phone camera...really cheap looking. I don't like his clothes, they look like they were picked out of a dumpster. The song is ugly and he does not sing well. At all. I came here from reading an article about his wife, and how this song is from his emotions after her death...or something. It seems like the video should reflect emotions or loss, or depth, but he's slinking around like a teenage girl whose body is made from rubber bands instead. This video: train wreck. 😳
